Coming off a strong Spring season, going 3-1 and getting some wins by large margins, they are poised to be one of the better teams in the valley this Fall and have a loaded roster with some college caliber prospects on both sides of the ball. Here, we will break down some of the top players returning for the Bullpups this fall and dive into their Spring season film.
QB Cayden Muir, 2023
Expected to be the starting signal caller this Fall, Muir is coming off a solid Spring season where he showed his explosion and big play ability. A seasoned veteran calling the plays and leading the offense, he will be one of the top offensive weapons this Fall for the Bullpups. He has a strong arm and can hit both in-breaking and outbreaking routes while leading his receivers with nice touch and velocity on intermediate and deep balls.
WR/DB Noah Noyola, 2022
One of the best players in the valley, the 2022 prospect is very under-recruited and will have another huge season this Fall after coming off an impressive Spring season. Off the ball, he is explosive with strong hands in traffic and shows terrific contact balance while able to break arm tackles and get vertical in a hurry. He can stretch the field from both the outside and the slot, and has plus lateral movement skills and short area quickness while constantly able to make defenders miss in the open space.
LB Trace Gonzales, 2023
Gonzales is one of the best linebackers across the region and only a rising Junior. He is a relentless high motor player that applies pressures while taking good angles and bringing a huge thump upon contact and a solid tackler overall. He does a good job at pursuing backside and shocking blockers in the box while being a downhill player in the run game. Very well built and put together, he can play inside linebacker at the next level and should see colleges taking interest soon enough.
DB/WR Jayden Sudds, 2023
Another terrific weapon for the Bullpups this Fall, he will be one of the top targets for Muir and is a sure handed target from the perimeter. On defense, he is a physical safety that has good ball skills and open field tackling ability while taking good angles to ball carriers both in the box and the open field. A very technically sound player, he is fluid in the backend with natural ability to flip his hips and get vertical quickly downhill.
OL/DL Zack Fisher, 2023
Having a very impressive Sophomore season in the Spring, Fisher is a physical presence on the offensive line that is explosive out of his stance and gets his hands on defenders quickly while finishing with aggression and toughness. He moves very well for his size and can block both in the box and in space when climbing to the second level. In pass protection, he stays patient while showing well timed punches with inside hand placement and tight elbows. He is a balanced offensive tackle that will see college interest come his way over the next two seasons.
