In-depth analysis of five 2022's who have recently picked up their first collegiate offer.
Talon Betts, ATH, Rochester
Betts picked up his first offer from Puget Sound in mid July. He’s does it all for the Rochester offense showing off his versatility as a RB, WR, and returner. Great instincts and awareness as a ball carrier, he shows good vision and patience as he’s looking for an open running lane. Strong burst and acceleration through the hole and is able to sustain that second gear as he weaves through the defense. Confident and reliable hands out of the backfield and lined up in the slot, he does a good job finding space and getting open. Expect more offers to come his way during the 2021 season.

Featured in our 2022 Ranking’s Risers article, Beaman picked up his first offer from FCS program Idaho in mid July. Great size, frame, and build for a college level LB at 6’3” 225 lbs. He’s a three down LB that can effectively fill against the run, drop back in coverage, or rush the QB off the edge. He’s a plus athlete with good range, lateral agility, and burst to close in pursuit. He plays well with his eyes, making decisive reads and is quick to trigger. Strong open field tackler that can break down and wrap up in space. The Idaho offer could spring board his recruiting and draw more college interest.
[player_tooltip player_id="87374" first="Camden" last="Loidhamer"], TE/DE, Wenatchee
The versatile TE/DE out of Wenatchee pulled in his first offer from Dickinson State. Possesses ideal size and length at 6’4” 220 lbs. with room to add weight. He’s a good athlete that shows natural movement skills and bend off the edge and as a split end. He’s strong at the POA with a lot of raw power at the contact point. Shows a high football IQ on both sides of the ball and is efficient with his movement with limited wasted steps. His growth potential and athleticism should bring in more college looks.
[player_tooltip player_id="151968" first="Anthony" last="Aguirre"], WR, Ferris
The big 6’5” 190 lbs. receiver was offered by Idaho last week. Very impressive physical skillset and athleticism for his size showing good all-around game speed, lateral agility, and flexibility. Strong route runner, he sets up his routes well and shows a good release off the LOS against press and off coverage. His length makes for a huge catch radius, he able to extend and reach balls others can’t on contested receptions. He’s a great vertical threat using his speed and leaping ability to come down with 50/50 balls. Idaho could be the first of many if he continues on the same trajectory.
[player_tooltip player_id="151876" first="Nic" last="Saunders"], ATH, Central Valley
The quick and athletic WR/DB was offered by Whitworth last week. Good fluidity with his movement he shows plus change-of direction, lateral agility, and acceleration. Good reactionary speed but is never out of control or off balance. He’s smooth in and out of his breaks, love his ability to make quick lateral cuts and burst out as a route runner and in coverage. Strong balls skills, he tracks and adjusts well with good body and coordination to bring in tough acrobatic receptions. Exciting player to watch that will be a playmaker on both sides of the ball for Central Valley this season.
