The past few articles have shown that Indiana’s Class of 2022, possesses a deep offensive line group that could rival any other state’s. Today, we continue our evaluation of Indiana’s underrated senior offensive linemen, with a look at three more great players up front. All three are doninant forces in the trenches. They each have the ability to be reliable at the college level. All three are on the cusp of scintillating senior campaigns. [player_tooltip player_id="119187" first="Samuel" last="Young III"], 6’4, 290 pounds, Bloomington South [player_tooltip player_id="119187" first="Samuel" last="Young III"] is a big, physical offensive lineman, who has a very rugged playing style. Young has outstanding power. He frequently drives his opponent all over the field, creating a big opening, and making him an exception lead blocker. One of the most impressive things about Young is the way that he positions his body. He sets himself in a way that completely blocks the defenders path to the ball. On run plays, he does a tremendous job sealing off the defender, and opening up an alley to run through. [player_tooltip player_id="134455" first="Reeve" last="Kustric"], 6’3, 260 pounds, Andrean [player_tooltip player_id="134455" first="Reeve" last="Kustric"] is a very tough player, who would be a great fit on any team’s offensive line. He has really good power and he can dominate the line-of-scrimmage. Kustric does very well with his body positioning. He has great mobility, something which is required much more often from offensive linemen now. Kustric does not just rely on hand skills and power, he moves his feet very well. Kustric does a great job getting up to the second level on run plays. Once his primary assignment is taken care of, he gets out to the linebackers and gives his running back more room to operate. [player_tooltip player_id="98069" first="Neal" last="Likens"], 6’3, 250 pounds, Columbus North [player_tooltip player_id="98069" first="Neal" last="Likens"] is a prospect who will always find a way to contribute to the team. Likens plays in all three phases for Columbus North. On top of being a great offensive tackle, he also plays linebacker and he plays regularly on special teams. Likens’ versatility proves just how valuable he can be to the program. As an offensive tackle, Likens has tremendous speed. He moves well, and he does a good job getting to the linebacker level. As a linebacker, he covers so much ground. On special teams, Likens is a lineman for the field goal/extra point unit, and he covers punts. Likens’ versatility makes it difficult to keep him off the field.
