The O’Dea Fighting Irish look to build on their 5-2 record this spring and challenge for yet another state title. They’ll be led by three blue-chip prospects; senior offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="87313" first="Mark" last="Nabou"], sophomore offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="158323" first="Isendre" last="Ahfua"] & sophomore running back [player_tooltip player_id="115335" first="Jason" last="Brown"]. All three have a long list of Power-Five offers and should be key cogs in the Irish’s 2021 run. We analyzed film on them, along with some of O’Dea’s top returners, to see what they’ll bring to the table this fall!

OL: [player_tooltip player_id="87313" first="Mark" last="Nabou"], 6’4", 330, Sr
Nabou started at right tackle for the Irish and was stout. He showed good body control, solid turnover on his knee drive, and a merciless mentality. He overwhelms defenders with size and a potent punch. He’s equipped with quick hands and will routinely win the hand placement battle at the point of attack. It’s my belief that he’ll kick down inside and play as a guard at the next level.

RB: [player_tooltip player_id="115335" first="Jason" last="Brown"], 5’10", 185, So
An electric running back prospect that could be gone if you blink. His vision is beyond his years, slicing and dicing between opposing tacklers once he sees daylight. A muscular lower-half allows for Brown to easily transition laterally and kick into another gear instantly. His shiftiness is on full display once he breaks out on the perimeter, and he becomes a serious issue near the redzone.

FB: Georgios Kotsakis, 5’11", 210, Sr
A true full-back prospect that shines as both a runner and a blocker. Kotsakis does his best work as a runner on quick hitters and will rumble through linebackers that look to get in his way. He keeps his feet churning on contact and will almost always finish runs falling forward. He’s a persistent special teamer who can provide value on all four units.

OL: [player_tooltip player_id="151941" first="Oliver" last="Braitsch"], 6’2", 250, Sr
A fiery center prospect with explosive hip mobility. Oliver bursts off the snap with his pads low and his hands inside. His speed and sheer body control that he uses to work the second level is downright impressive. His hands and feet work in harmony as he looks to finish his blocks burying defenders into the turf. As a pass protector, he’s shown active feet and the ability to sit back & anchor down against just about any bull rush.

OL: [player_tooltip player_id="158323" first="Isendre" last="Ahfua"], 6’5", 330, So
An imposing build, to go with the footwork of a ballerina, makes Isendre a very intriguing offensive line prospect in the 2024 class. His initial pop-on contact will often jolt defender’s heads back and will help expedite zone double teams working to the second level. His overall athleticism is awfully uncharacteristic of a man his size and creates major issues for opposing rushers on passing downs. It’s evident that his best football is ahead of him, and you’re looking at a prospect with a high ceiling.

LB [player_tooltip player_id="151917" first="Zach" last="Newson"], 5’8", 200, Sr
An outside linebacker with some serious fight in him. Newson does not let a smaller frame get in the way of his performance. He uses natural leverage, raw strength, and outstanding burst to shine as a tackler. He’s comfortable in zone coverage and shows quality instincts breaking on the quarterback.

DB: [player_tooltip player_id="151879" first="Trey" last="Stokes"], 6’2", 200, Sr
A long-armed cornerback prospect that has a good feel for receivers in his blind spot. Stokes can run with the best of them and will do everything in his power to fight for the 50/50 ball. His pure size, smoothness in a back-pedal, and stickiness in coverage make him a definite name to keep an eye on as a senior.

LB: Dayne Camacho, 5’11", 200, Jr
A tough and competitive interior linebacker that always seems to be around the football. Dayne takes good angles to the ball and will speed his feet once initial contact has been made. His motor is unmistakable as he’s constantly looking for work anywhere he can get it.
