With a new season just about a month from the beginning, a lot of guys have something to prove after a shortened spring season. We will be outlining a few of them and here are the first five, in no order, from the class of 2022.

When we say most to gain, we don’t mean "most to prove", these are players either looking to really break out, they may have offers, they may not, they may have P5 offers, or they may just have Ivy League offers.

Loudoun County ATH [player_tooltip player_id="126861" first="Jimmy" last="Kibble"]

4.39, that’s Kibble’s 40-yard dash time and I saw it first-hand in the summer of 2020, since then, Kibble has received constant attention from programs all around the country and has offers from Harvard, Dartmouth, Penn, ODU, Georgetown, and Columbia but I think there is more to come for the former kicker turned swiss-army knife. Kibble can catch good, and has good route-running skills and size at 6’1".

Trinity Episcopal QB [player_tooltip player_id="126722" first="Jack" last="Toscano"]

Toscano boasts a 4.63 40-yard dash and a lively arm but the offers just haven’t been there for the 6’2", 205lbs signal-caller just yet. With only a few games in 2021, Toscano’s standout performance came against St.Christopher’s when he went 14-25, 215 yds pass, 4 TDs, 1 INT, 171yds rush, rush TD to showcase his skills inside and outside of the pocket. Toscano made the rounds at camp season and with more film, he should see a few offers.

Ocean Lakes (Va Beach) OL [player_tooltip player_id="126913" first="Hunter" last="Dinsmoor"]

Dinsmoor is the anchor of the line at Ocean Lakes and with former Princess Anne coach James Yeager at the helm, Dinsmoor could be in for his best season yet. At 6’2" and 290lbs, Dinsmoor dominates on the line but his height has been the issue for some coaches. Recently, Dinsmoor got his first offer from D2 Central State, coached by 757 native Bobby Rome. More is coming fro Dinsmoor if he has the kind of 2021 season he is capable of. Having a shortened season in spring 2021 hurt his recruiting.

Portsmouth Christian QB [player_tooltip player_id="173759" first="Chase" last="Harsh"]

Harsh will be on our updated 2022 rankings when they come out this week and for good reason, a breakout season for Portsmouth Christian, one of few VA teams to play in the fall of 2020 should have led to offers for Harsh, and had college coaches been able to visit high schools, it probably would have. as he had two D1 talents on the team with him which would have drawn eyes to him. Harsh got a late start at camps but performed well and should be able to pick up an offer with more film.

Phoebus (Hampton) ATH [player_tooltip player_id="126862" first="Kymari" last="Gray"]

I think Gray proved a lot during Phoebus’ first-round playoff win vs Hopewell in the spring season. Gray returned two picks for touchdowns in the first three minutes and caught a touchdown to put an exclamation point on the game with less than a minute left. The 6’2" WR/DB picked up an offer from Akron recently to go with Campbell, Maryland, ODU, West Virginia, Michigan State, Pitt, and Liberty but still doesn’t get the respect he deserves within the region, and most of those offers came in 2020.
