As the pandemic certainly took its toll on everyone – each and every individual had to cope with something completely out of their hands, being resourceful and patient, which truly paid off. While high school sports may be deemed low on the priority list, thousands and thousands of student/athletes need the exposure to attain a scholarship to not only continue their dream of playing football, but also receive an education that will carve out a path that will last a lifetime. With no spring football last season and this year having no college coaches in attendance, the Class of 2022 really got the short end of this deal. Lack of exposure has kept this class busy, attending anything and everything to make an impact, and when the month of June arrive, to be ready to impress. There was a unique pressure put on this senior class. Transfer Portal and the NCAA granting another year of eligibility to the seniors who didn’t get the full experience ion 2020. While the elite prospects received enough attention to gain that exposure via camps and combines – as well as 7-on-7 events – there were those who didn’t. Prospects who needed to grab the spotlight in 26 days, and while some were fortunate, others not so much. Today, we bring you 15 players you will need to watch this coming season, and as some have offers, others do not and are not the household names that we are used to. [player_tooltip player_id="50009" first="Amarion" last="Brown"], WR, 6-3, 180, Stuart Martin County. A major talent that started to pick up plenty of interest, and while the pandemic didn’t hurt his chances, this spring was very helpful. Solid talent. TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11293461/Amarion-Brown Greg Gaines III, WR/FS, 6-2, 180, Tampa Bay Tech. Yet another complete football player that the Sunshine State continues to churn out. A big-time prospect, who plays on both sides of the ball – and also gets it done in the classroom (4.1 GPA) as well. TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11276820/Greg-Gaines-III [player_tooltip player_id="50064" first="Isaiah" last="Gordon"], RB, 6-1, 210, Daytona Beach Mainland. What the new coaching staff found when they unwrapped all the talent that the Bucs had was this impressive runner, who is ready to showcase his many skills. TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/7999262/Isaiah-Gordon Aidan Gousby, CB/WR, 6-2, 185, Lehigh. Here is a versatile talent that had the opportunity to display his talents – on both sides of the ball. Big time player who is well coached and committed to getting better. TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11255787/Aidan-Gousby [player_tooltip player_id="50035" first="Segree" last="Graham"], DE/DT, 6-3, 245, St. Johns Bartram Trail. Committed the past six months to the University of Cincinnati, here is a versatile defensive lineman, who we watched a year ago and came away impressed with everything he does. TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/12056232/Segree-Graham [player_tooltip player_id="50023" first="Jaziun" last="Patterson"], RB, 6-0, 200, Deerfield Beach. Heading into his fourth year at the varsity level, here is a gifted runner, who combines speed, power and plenty of instincts. Has shown that at the next level, this is going to be someone very special. TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11705779/Jaziun-Patterson Micah Pollard, LB, 6-3, 200, Jacksonville Bartram Trail. On a team stacked with quality talent, this playmaker has grown into his position over the past year, and now colleges all over the country are watching his progress – and he has not disappointed. Big time potential. TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/12997939/Micah-Pollard Venson Sneed, DE, 6-4, 240, Winter Park. Yet another talent who has made a lasting impression during the off-season. This is a talented young man who continued to get better as the year moved along – and jumped on the radar with his quickness and overall athletic ability. TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/12658588/Venson-Sneed Jamaal Whyce, DL, 6-4, 255, Miami Florida Christian. Coming to south Florida this past season, he immediately turned heads with his dominating play, and colleges from every corner of the country started to take notice of a gifted football player. Committed to attend the University of South Carolina, this young man is still learning the game and maturing. Has a chance to make a huge impact in the fall and into the future. TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/15042297/Jamaal-Whyce Davin Wydner, QB, 6-5, 220, Cocoa. Coming in from nearby Melbourne Trinity, this is a talent that many believe could emerge as one of the best in the class – when all is said and done. Great size, tremendous throwing arm and will be surrounded by elite talent that the Tigers have on the roster. TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11579802/Davin-Wydner You Can Contact [player_tooltip player_id="111610" first="Larry" last="Blustein"] with prospect or team information at: Floridakids1@aol.com.
