Today we take a look at some of the top junior quarte4rbacks in the state to keep your eyes on this season. These prospects are some of the best in the junior class and will be heating up their recruitment this season. Let’s dive right into who the top junior quarterbacks’ prospects are and who could have a breakout season.

[player_tooltip player_id="97101" first="Luke" last="King"], Hazen

Luke is one QB who could surprise many people this season. He’s a very accurate passer and is proficient in the short to the interminate passing game. He shows he can hang inside the pocket and deliver a catchable ball facing pressure. He has adequate size and height for the position. Footwork needs a little improvement along with a few other mechanics but this QB doesn’t necessarily need to set his feet to throw. Should be one to keep an eye on for this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="93816" first="Wesley" last="McKissack"], Villonia

Wesley is one Quarterback that could surprise a lot of people this season and surpass a lot of guys on our list of junior QBs. He won’t break any receiver’s fingers with his velocity but he is a consistent, accurate passer who feels just as comfortable throwing the ball in the pocket just as much as he does throwing on the run. Also shows some encouraging velocity on throws in the middle of the field and towards the sideline. Accuracy is not a problem and velocity could progress over time.

[player_tooltip player_id="132965" first="Carter" last="Hensley"], Rogers Heritage

Carter is an FBS type of prospect that would shock a lot of people this season. I was very impressed watching this young quarterbacks film. He shows some impressive mechanics throwing the ball and excellent footwork and timing on all of his throws. Could be a breakout player this season and one that could land himself on top of a lot of college recruiting boards.

[player_tooltip player_id="135229" first="Weston" last="Pierce"], Maumelle

Weston should be an interesting prospect to watch out for this season. He looks like he has the requisite size, arm strength, and mechanics as a quarterback. Just needs some more film. This season could put him in the forefront of a lot of people’s minds as a strong QB Maumelle.

[player_tooltip player_id="138557" first="Damarius" last="Martin"], Morrilton

Damarius looks like an elite QB that can torch defenses through the air and ground. He has a very strong arm and can show some impressive velocity on throws towards the sideline or over the middle. He should be able to impress many this season and could be one that lights up the scoreboard in great numbers for his team.
