[player_tooltip player_id="28004" first="Dashawn" last="Lawton"]/5-11/165/Cornerback/West Side
Lawton is an intriguing prospect that I’ve evaluated during a couple of 7v7 tournaments. In those cases, he made impact plays from the cornerback position. Lawnton is a little undersized, but he’s feisty and highly competitive. He is also an impact player at the wide receiver position. Lawton caught 23 passes for 506 yards and five touchdowns last season. There’s a good chance of him being ranked as a wide receiver during when the rankings get updated.
Jordan Dotson/6-4/205/Safety/Burlington Township
Dotson is one of two defensive backs on this list from Burlington Township. He made 66 total tackles (37 solo) during the 2020 season. Dotson showed he is a good wide receiver as well last season as he caught 14 passes for 454 yards and five touchdowns. His higher ceiling is on the defensive side of the football. Dotson can get away with playing safety at the high school level. That may change once he gets to college and gets put on a high-level strength and conditioning program. The outside linebacker position may be his ultimate destination at the collegiate level.
Khoury Trotman/5-11/160/Safety/Burlington Township
Trotman made 72 total tackles and deflected six passes in six games last season. He is a strong safety who plays much bigger than his size. Troutman shows no hesitation to come up in the running game and get physical with ball carriers. He lines up at the middle linebacker position but he’ll end up at safety if he plays at the next level.
Noriano Smith/150/Safety/East Brunswick
Smith made 67 total tackles (39 solo) in eight games last season.
Paul Cosentino/5-11/160/Safety/Hanover Park
They credit Cosentino with 80 total tackles during his junior year campaign. The first few plays of his highlights display his ability to make plays. Cosentino is a good open-field tackler. He's undersized but isn't afraid to start contact. Cosentino is a safety stuck in the body for a cornerback.
[player_tooltip player_id="27990" first="Turner" last="Inge"]/6-1/195/Safety/Williamstown
Inge is another player on this list who affects both sides of the football. Defensively, he made 63 total tackles in nine games last season. Ingle added 545 yards and nine touchdowns on 96 carries on offense. His upside as a prospect is on the defensive side of the football so that is where we will put him for now.
