Continue ReadingIt’s been a massive month of June for prospects across Georgia, and many have been able to see their stock take off after visiting and camping at schools across the country. The 2023 class is loaded across the state, and recently we’ve seen some defensive line prospects start to take off on the recruiting trail.
Here are a few 2023 DL prospects who have seen their stock take off in recent weeks…
AJ Hoffler – Woodward Academy
One of the fastest-rinsing DE prospects in the state, the 6-foot-5 245-pound Atlanta native from Woodward Academy is in the middle of seeing his recruitment take off. He’s a terrific pass-rusher who uses his hands well and can explode off the edge. When he meets the ball-carrier, he knows how to deliver a big hit. He’s great in pursuit and finds a way to rip the ball out when he gets there. He’s a guy who demands double teams, and if he doesn’t, he’s going to make a big play. He’s coming off a huge sophomore season and is expected to be one of the better Edge defenders in Atlanta as a junior this fall. He holds offers from Colorado, Arizona State, Georgia Tech, and Indiana, and recently earned his biggest offer to date from Michigan.

Adonijah Green – Cedar Grove
The Saints have one of the best defensive lines across the peach state, and Green is one of the best. He might be the hottest prospect in all of Georgia right now, earning recent offers from Georgia Tech, Memphis, Pittsburgh, Arkansas State, Western Kentucky, and Middle Tennessee State. He’s not the biggest defensive end at just 6-foot-5 205-pounds, but he’s long, athletic, and made a big impact last year as a sophomore. His speed alone made him a terror off the edge and he was able to get to the QB with ease. As he continues to add more strength and muscle, while keeping his speed and athleticism, Green could turn into one of the top edge defenders in the Atlanta area this fall.
Stephiylan Green – Rome
One of the fastest-rising DE prospects in the state, it’s only a matter of time before his recruitment takes off. The big 6-foot-4 270-pound defensive end had a great spring and caught the attention of the UGA staff this week, earning his first major offer. He’s explosive off the ball and so quick for someone his size on the interior. He has enough size and raw athleticism to play multiple positions along the defensive line and has his best football ahead of him. He has the potential to be one of the top defensive line prospects in North Georgia for the 2023 class and should see more interest coming his way sooner than later. As a sophomore last year, Green made 43 tackles, 9 TFLs, and one sack. Look for him to load up on sacks as a junior.
