The Southeastern Conference has talented players every year. These are a few quarterbacks returning in 2021 that are exceptional talents.
<strong>Jacob Burns </strong>(2023) | 6-2 195 | Tecumseh | <a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2EiUy5">Hudl</a>
Burns puts tremendous touch on the football when he throws. He also is good at throwing on the run. Burns does a good job of putting the ball up high when throwing to his taller wide receivers, so only they can get it. On read-option plays, Burns almost always makes the right read. Jacob Burns has a lot of potential and heads into only his junior season in 2021.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="93700" first="Anthony" last="Pinnace"] </strong>(2022) | 6-1 160 | Ann Arbor Huron | <a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2Ec3eC">Hudl</a>
One thing that sticks out to me when watching [player_tooltip player_id="93700" first="Anthony" last="Pinnace"], is his ability to throw on the run. Pinnace excels at making throws when rolling out of the pocket. Pinnace does a great job of making defenders miss when he decides to take off and run. I love that Pinnace is not afraid to throw the deep ball. Watch for plenty more deep balls, and tremendous throws on the run from Pinnace in 2021.
<strong>CJ Carr </strong>(2024) | 6-3 175 | Saline | <a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2EvnyB">Hudl</a>
CJ Carr has great pocket presence and very calm feet. Carr does not panic when the pocket collapses, instead shows the poise to step up and evade the pressure. At 6-3, Carr has good size to be able to stand in the pocket and see over his offensive lineman. Carr still has a few more years to polish his already excellent skill-set.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="30337" first="Atticus" last="Carridine"] </strong>(2023) | 6-1 160 | Ypsilanti Community | <a href="http://www.hudl.com/video/3/13453974/5f7cb2859a917b06b8072439">Hudl</a>
Accuracy is so important for a quarterback to be successful. [player_tooltip player_id="30337" first="Atticus" last="Carridine"] throws the ball very accurately especially on short and intermediate throws. Carridine makes good decisions with the football and is not afraid to take off and run. Carridine’s talent will lead to more big plays for him and Ypsilanti in 2021.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="30149" first="Larry" last="Robinson II"] </strong>(2022) | 6-0 170 | Saline | <a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2EdyBZ">Hudl </a>
Robinson is an incredible talent. He moves well in the pocket and can really sling the ball downfield. Robinson is great at making the correct reads on RPOs and read options. Robinson is a very accurate passer that can also make plays with his legs. Robinson will give defenders a tough time once again in 2021.
