As we all know by now, the 2020 football season was certainly not what many of us expected.
With the pandemic taking center stage, many programs across Florida pretty much played the year “under a caution flag” – with protocols in place.
While the season slowly moved along, programs such as Orlando Timber Creek and veteran head coach Jimmy Buckridge did everything possible to win games – while staying safe and developing players.
When the season came to an end, the Wolves had posted a 7-3 record – with wins coming against Oviedo Hagerty, Windermere, rival Orlando Colonial twice, Orlando University, Oviedo and Orlando Cypress Creek.
Even with a season-ending loss to West Orange in the playoffs, there was a lot of optimism for the 2021 season.
With a solid spring and a productive June so far, this program heads toward this coming season with plenty of talent and momentum for this past season.
The senior class will be needed to give this program leadership and experience.
Leading the way in this class is gifted receiver Ryan Campbell (5-9, 175 – 4.64 GPA, 24 ACT, 1090 SAT), who will be a catalyst for this program this off season – and into August when things start for real once again.
In addition to the talented Campbell, the Class of 2022 will also feature Richard Black (LB, 6-0, 190 – 3.22 GPA, 13 ACT, 780 SAT), Jonathan Cabral (RB, 6-1, 210 -2.72 GPA, 14 ACT, 730 SAT), Donald Chester (RB, 5-10, 205 – 3.8 GPA, 18 ACT, 890 SAT), [player_tooltip player_id="50236" first="Michael" last="Garcia"] (OL, 6-1, 230 – 3.74 GPA, 14 ACT, 1090 SAT) and receiver Hudson Grabenhorst (6-0, 175 – 4.1 GPA, 910 SAT).
Also, the Wolves will feature prospects Jonah Migliore (LB, 6-2, 205 – 4.0 GPA), Jaebrius Nathan (FS, 5-11, 170 – 17 ACT, 730 SAT), Jeremiah Sink (OL, 6-4, 245 – 2.5 GPA), Tanner Stevens (QB, 6-1, 170 – 4.2 GPA, 24 ACT, 1190 SAT), Ethan Varnedore (WR, 6-0, 170 – 3.91 GPA, 1170 SAT), Lucas Varnedore (SS, 6-0, 170 – 4.61 GPA, 28 ACT, 1180 SAT) and all-around student/athlete Trey Williams (WR, 6-2, 185 – 4.25 GPA, 22 ACT, 1140 SAT).
SHANAHAN LEADS UNDERCLASSMEN
Having one of the top underclass offensive linemen in the nation is something that Coach Buckridge and this program will certainly play off.
[player_tooltip player_id="128024" first="T.J." last="Shanahan"] (6-5, 285 – 2.9 GPA) has impressed everyone – from Florida to California – and everywhere in between with his strength, athleticism and passion for the game and position.
In addition, the Class of 2023 will also have Corey Alston (DL, 6-3, 205 – 2.5 GPA), Alex Davis (PK, 5-10, 200 – 4.05 GPA), Noah Birkner (DB, 6-0, 175 – 4.8 GPA), Shane Exilhomme (LB, 5-10, 170 – 3.4 GPA), Levi Guzman (Edge, 5-11, 195 – 2.7 GPA), Marcus Kral (WR, 6-2, 170 - 3.6 GPA), Joshua Villamizar (DB, 6-0, 160 – 3.5 GPA) and promising quarterback Tre’ Woodson (6-0, 165 – 3.1 GPA).
The future does indeed look bright – with some Class of 2024 sophomores – such as Alejandro Bello (DB, 5-9, 150 – 4.75 GPA), Antayvius Chappell (WR, 5-8, 145 – 3.0 GPA), Nathaniel Hull (RB, 5-7, 165 – 4.5 GPA), Trace Scott (DL, 6-4, 235 – 4.4 GPA), Jake Shutters (LB, 6-2, 215 – 4.6 GPA), Evan Van Dyke (WR, 5-11, 160 – 3.4 GPA) and quarterback A.J. Williams (6-0, 160 – 4.6 GPA).
