The Arkansas Razorbacks continue to land key pieces of the recruiting puzzle. The 2022 class in the state of Arkansas is one of the most talented classes to occur in quite some time. Davillier committing to the Razorbacks gives Arkansas a defensive lineman that will play with a chip on his shoulder. We will take a brief a look at what Davillier brings to Sam Pittman’s team.
The Maumelle defensive lineman will bring to the Razorbacks an extremely versatile lineman. At 6-4 and 275-pounds, Davillier gives the Arkansas coaching a player that can play the edge rusher spot or move to the defensive tackle position. Davillier does a great job of using a mix of power and speed to disrupt the opposing offense. He is a prospect that could see the field quickly for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Arkansas is not the only school to recruit Davillier hard. The Maumelle defensive lineman was recruited intensely by Nebraska, Georgia, and Colorado. Davillier had received 14 scholarship offers and has been impressive at performance camps as well as team camps. Head coach Sam Pittman and the Arkansas coaching staff has done a great job with this class of keeping the talent at home. Davillier has the potential to see some playing time early in his career at Arkansas.
The defensive line prospects that the Razorbacks have committed currently from the state of Arkansas are Greenland’s [player_tooltip player_id="75063" first="JJ" last="Hollingsworth"] and Maumelle’s [player_tooltip player_id="75069" first="Nico" last="Davillier"]. Hollingsworth will give the Razorbacks an edge rusher that can pressure the quarterback. Davillier will give the Hogs a player that can disrupt both the run and the passing game. Throw in Shiloh Christian’s [player_tooltip player_id="75093" first="Kaden" last="Henley"] to fill a need at the linebacker spot and the defensive corps is going to be made up with a nice number of Arkansas guys. Watching these guys play this fall is going to be a great experience, they have all proven they can light up Friday nights.
