However, you also had representatives from Ohio, Texas, Minnesota, South Carolina and California in attendance.
Here are my observations….
Bryan Wallace – Miami Killian
Quarterbacks should be happy to have Bryan Wallace on their side. The 2024 has a big lower body and a 83-inch wingspan. I didn’t find a prospect with a larger measurable than that during testing. He could essentially blanket his assignment with his frame. Could be a very good pass protector given his diameter. Wallace is a 6-foot-4, 297-pound guard with immense potential on the inside.
Jaxson Jewell – St. Andrew’s
2025 Jaxson Jewell is a quarterback to watch in South Florida. The 2025 signal caller is a dual-threat athlete with quick feet. The latter can be seen in his movement off the snap and in side to side motion. Jewell should be able to allude pressure and throw on the run thanks to his athleticism. Having a quarterback that can make a play when things break down is a huge plus. He currently stands at 6-foot-1 and should continue to grow. Moreover, he will get stronger to fill his 150-pound frame. Jewell holds a 4.6 GPA.
Kael Alexander – Cypress Bay
The first thing I noticed about Alexander is his size. The 2024 quarterback is 6-foot-3 1/4 with 9-inch hands. That is a pretty mitt to toss the football from in the pocket. Alexander has good extension and a high release point to make throws. His trajectory should allow his pass catchers to identify the football quickly. Alexander’s arm strength should continue to improve as he gets stronger. However, I like his touch and accuracy at this point. In particular, Alexander looks good tossing the ball on fade routes. I would say the more confident he gets, the better and more comfortable he will get under center. He holds a 3.9 GPA.
Tovani Mizell – Stranahan
2024 Tovani Mizell is a talented running back out of Stranahan – Fort Lauderdale. What I like about him is his size and athleticism coming out of the backfield. Mizell stands at about 6-foot-1 and weighs 200 pounds. He also ran a blazing 4.3 40 (laser) at the Rivals Combine back in April. Mizell should be deadly when he gets to the second level and into open space. He has the size to break tackles and gain extra yards. In addition, you have to watch out for him coming out of the backfield to catch a pass. The run after catch on him could be a huge problem for defenders. Mizell ran for 165 yards on 22 carries in three recorded games last season. He is also track athlete for the Mighty Dragons. That might explain his ability to shoot out of cannon. Mizell already holds offers from Arkansas, Cincinnati, Indiana, Texas A&M and UAB.
Gavench Marcelin – Belen Jesuit
Marcelin is one of the better young edge rushers coming out of Miami-Dade County. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound defensive end was recently named the Rising Stars Miami-Dade Defensive MVP. Marcelin recorded seven pressures, six tackles, three TFLs and 1.5 sacks in a spring game vs. Coral Gables. He is explosive with his hand on the ground and has quick hands. Marcelin has a twitch in his delivery to beat you with an array of moves coming off the ball. The sky is the limit for this kid. Could be a 4/5-star in the future. He has been offered by USC and Syracuse.
