Film Review: Top Tier Tight Ends

<em><strong>With teams all across the country gearing up for the 2021 Fall football season and kick-off only being a couple months away, we will dive into the tight end position group across the state and breakdown the film of some of the top tier tight ends that Washington has to offer. </strong></em> <hr /> &nbsp; <em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="87307" first="Ryan" last="Otton"], Tumwater HS</strong></em> <em>Otton is another impressive tight end to come out of Tumwater High School and is currently committed to Washington. He already has a college ready frame and is a devastating blocker at the first and second level while finishing blocks and winning with hand placement and pad level/aggression. Extremely versatile, he can play both in-line and flex out to the slot while stretching the field vertically with strong hands and can make contested catches. He should be a multi-year starter in the Pac-12 for years to come and someone we could very well be watching on Sundays. </em> &nbsp; <em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="87312" first="Austin" last="Terry"], Tumwater HS</strong></em> <em>Terry is a force on both sides of the ball and is a great athlete for his size that plays with a high motor and good physicality and toughness. He is explosive out of his stance while able to work both vertically and across the field while catching the ball naturally and with good body control against tight coverage. He has sneaky speed and runs physical behind his pads while looking for contact after the catch and able to break arm/ankle tackles due to contact balance and lower body power. Already holding 10+ FBS offers, he should be set to find his college home in the next few months. </em> &nbsp; <em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="115338" first="Hogan" last="Hansen"], Bellevue HS</strong></em> <em>Only a rising Sophomore, Hansen is a long and rangy player that is dominant on both sides of the ball for one of the top teams in the state. He already holds one Power Five offer from Arizona, and will be a 10+ offer kid by the time it's all said and done. He is a extremely physical and tough player that plays with a high football IQ and natural instincts. As he continues through high school, he will continue to pack on weight to his frame and be one of the most dominant two-way players in the state. </em> &nbsp; <em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="155549" first="Cooper" last="Jensen"], Glacier Peak HS</strong></em> <em>Jensen is another extremely long player that stretches the field and has nice speed off the ball with good high point ability and strong hands when going up and making contested catches. He has a twitchy release off the line and does a good job at getting into defenders blind spots and make them turn their back on him in transition. He can make catches from various body angles and positions while able to flex out and play in the slot or even the outside.
