Continuing the All-State offensive series we’re taking a look at 4A Football throughout the state of Illinois. I have gone through over 200 players to determine the first team, second team, and honorable mention. Without further ado, let’s dive into the 4A All-State Team – Offensive Edition.

Mr. Rittenhouse is from St Francis, he puts the ball in the receiver’s basket and makes level 1 2 & 3 throws. He uses his pocket footwork to step up in the pocket to get the ball off under pressure, has a touch on the deep ball, and has the arm strength to throw on the run. Mr. Rittenhouse escapes pocket pressure by scrambling with his mobility and quick acceleration, allowing him to further showcase his playmaking abilities.

Mr. Glover is from Benton, he’s mobile with his quick acceleration and reads blocks well. He has a touch on the deep ball, uses his pocket footwork to extend plays by finding the man downfield, and gets the ball off under pressure. Mr. Glover makes level 1 2 & 3 throws, evades pocket pressure, and has playmaking abilities.

Mr. Sumner is from Carterville, he’s an N/S runner that breaks arm tackles by keeping his feet driving and reads blocks well. He can catch out of the backfield, burst past the 2nd level of defenders, and gets upfield after securing the catch. Mr. Sumner plays through contact fighting for extra yards, has the vision to see cutback lanes, and has playmaking abilities on offense as well as in the return game.

Mr. Cooper is from Coal City, he’s an N/S runner that reads blocks well and bursts past the 2nd level of defenders. He can catch out of the backfield, is elusive making the first defender miss, and gets upfield after securing the catch. Mr. Cooper breaks arm tackles by keeping his feet driving, plays through contact by fighting for extra yards, and is a playmaker on offense as well as in the return game.
<em>WR Elijah Lee 21’ St Francis <a href="https://twitter.com/_elijahhh13">Twitter</a></em>
Mr. Lee is from St Francis, he makes contested catches by high pointing the ball and runs jet sweeps. He breaks arm tackles by keeping his feet driving, is quick off the line of scrimmage, and is a deep threat. Mr. Lee gets upfield after securing the catch, finds the soft spot in the defense, and blocks downfield for his teammates.

Mr. Beebe is from Aurora Christian, he’s quick off the line of scrimmage and makes contested catches by high pointing the ball. He finds the soft spot in the opposing defense, breaks arm tackles by keeping his feet driving, and gets upfield after securing the catch. Mr. Beebe reads blocks well, fights for extra yards, and blocks downfield for his teammates.

Mr. Kuthe is from Stillman Valley, he’s quick off the line of scrimmage and is a deep threat. He breaks arm tackles by keeping his feet driving, makes contested catches by high pointing the ball, and gets upfield after securing the catch. Mr. Kuthe finds the soft spot in the opposing defense, blocks downfield, and runs crisp routes showcasing his route running.
<em>TE Jacob Peterson 21’ Richmond Burton </em>
Mr. Peterson is from Richmond Burton, he makes contested catches by high pointing the ball and is quick off the line of scrimmage. He gets upfield after securing the catch, has quick acceleration, and has good use of hands at the point of attack when blocking.

Mr. Dalton is from Marian Central, he fires off the ball and gets hands-on quickly. He keeps his feet driving resulting in pancaking the defender, gets to 2nd level blocks, and creates running lanes. Mr. Dalton washes the d-line down, holds his own one-on-one in pass pro, and plays through the whistle. Not to mention that he gets after it by attacking with his aggressive playstyle.
<em>OL Austin Ellis 21’ Coal City <a href="https://twitter.com/Austin_Ellis50">Twitter</a></em>
Mr. Ellis is from Coal City, he creates running lanes when pulling and plays through the whistle. He keeps his feet driving resulting in pancaking the defender and gets to 2nd level blocks. Mr. Ellis doesn’t give up on plays and holds his own in pass pro.
<em>OL Nathan Henry 22’ Aurora Christian <a href="https://twitter.com/Nathan_Henry65">Twitter</a></em>
Mr. Henry is from Aurora Christian, he creates running lanes when pulling and washes the d-line down. He holds his own one-on-one in pass pro by staying square and gets to 2nd level blocks. Mr. Henry doesn’t give up on plays by playing through the whistle and getting after it.

He bursts past the 2nd level of defenders, has a touch on the deep ball, and puts the ball in the receiver’s basket. Mr. Brueckner makes level 3 throws, can put zip on the ball, and can throw on the run. He has the vision to see cutback lanes, extends plays by scrambling, and has playmaking abilities.

He breaks arm tackles by keeping his feet driving and plays through contact.

Mr. Franklin is from IC Catholic Prep, he’s an N/S runner that has quick acceleration and reads blocks well. He breaks arm tackles by keeping his feet driving, plays through contact, and bursts through the line of scrimmage. Mr. Franklin isn’t afraid to lower his shoulder, makes the first defender miss showcasing his elusiveness, and has the vision to see cutback lanes. He utilizes his jump cuts well and has playmaking abilities.

Mr. Ajazi gets upfield after securing the catch, finds soft spots in the defense, and can catch out of the backfield.

Mr. Jackson is from Manteno, he’s quick off the line of scrimmage and has a good break at the top of his routes creating separation from the defender. He makes the catch in traffic, makes contested catches by high pointing the ball, and gets upfield after securing the catch. Mr. Jackson uses his toe-tap to secure the sideline grabs, makes the first defender miss showcasing his elusiveness, and is used in the return game as well.

Mr. Bee is from Salem, he makes contested catches by high pointing the ball and gets upfield after securing the catch. He makes defenders miss showcasing his elusiveness, is a deep threat that goes up to get it, and blocks downfield for his teammates. Mr. Bee runs jet sweeps using his quick acceleration and fights for extra yards by playing through contact.

Mr. Criter is from St Francis, he has fast feet when pressed and makes the catch in traffic. He’s a deep threat that’s quick of the line of scrimmage, makes contested catches by high pointing the ball, and finds the soft spot in the defense. Mr. Criter uses his toe-tap for sideline grabs, gets himself open during the QB scramble drill, and gets upfield after securing the catch.

Mr. Boles is from Salem, he gets upfield after securing the catch and has quick acceleration. He finds soft spots in the opposing defense, washes the d-line down, and creates running lanes.
