Continuing the All-State offensive series we’re taking a look at 3A Football throughout the state of Illinois. I have gone through over 200 players to determine the first team, second team, and honorable mention. Without further ado, let’s dive into the 3A All-State Team – Offensive Edition. <hr /> <span style="text-decoration: underline; font-size: 14pt;"><em><strong>1st Team</strong></em></span> <em>QB Kannon Kirk 21’ North Mac <a href="https://twitter.com/kannon_kirk">Twitter</a></em> Mr. Kirk is from North Mac, he gets the ball off under pressure and extends plays where he finds his man downfield. He has a touch on the deep ball, makes level 3 throws, and puts the ball in the receiver's basket. Mr. Kirk can get the ball out quickly, can put zip on the ball, and can throw on the run. He's mobile where he showcases his quick acceleration, fights for extra yards by playing through contact, and has playmaking abilities. <em>QB [player_tooltip player_id="65121" first="Tyler" last="Gibson"] 21’ Princeton <a href="https://twitter.com/tgibby21">Twitter</a></em> Mr. Gibson is from Princeton, he has a touch on the deep ball and gets the ball off under pressure. He extends plays by finding his man downfield, makes level 3 throws, and puts the ball in the receiver's basket. Mr. Gibson can throw on the run, can get the ball out quickly, and can put zip on the ball. He can scramble with his quick acceleration and runs the read-option to further showcase his mobility. <em>RB [player_tooltip player_id="65111" first="Ronde" last="Worrels"] 21’ Princeton <a href="https://twitter.com/rondo2312">Twitter</a></em> Mr. Worrels is from Princeton, he's an N/S runner and bursts past the 2nd level of defenders. He fights for extra yards by keeping his feet driving, breaks arm tackles by keeping his feet driving, and reads blocks well. Mr. Worrels can catch out of the backfield, makes contested catches, and is a hard runner showcasing his playmaking abilities. <em>RB Zeke Hadra 22’ Mt Carmel <a href="https://twitter.com/HadraZeke">Twitter</a></em> Mr. Hadra is from Mt Carmel, he's an N/S runner and reads blocks well. He bursts past the 2nd level of defenders, is elusive making the first defender miss, and has the vision to see cutback lanes. Mr. Hadra isn't afraid to lower his shoulder, breaks arm tackles by keeping his feet driving, and is used as a lead blocker. <em>WR Will Doetch 22’ North Mac <a href="https://twitter.com/WDoetch">Twitter</a></em> Mr. Doetch is from North Mac, he's quick off the line of scrimmage and a deadly return man. He makes contested catches by high pointing the ball, gets upfield after securing the catch, and makes the catch in traffic. Mr. Doetch reads blocks well, is elusive making the first defender miss, and is a deep threat. He has quick acceleration, makes the catch in traffic, and has playmaking abilities. <em>WR [player_tooltip player_id="65258" first="Jordan" last="Collins"] 21’ Harlan Twitter</em> Mr. Collins is from Harlan, he's quick off the line of scrimmage and is elusive making defenders miss. He runs jet sweeps, has quick acceleration, and breaks arm tackles by keeping his feet driving. Mr. Collins bursts past the 2nd level of defenders, reads blocks well, and is a deep threat where he makes contested catches by high pointing the ball. <em>OL [player_tooltip player_id="65456" first="Blaize" last="Schellenger"] 21’ Mater Dei <a href="https://twitter.com/bdschellenger">Twitter</a></em> Mr. Schellenger is from Mater Dei, he gets to the 2nd level blocks and keeps his feet driving resulting in pancaking the defender. He washes the d-line down, fires off of the ball, and creates running lanes. Mr. Schellenger holds his own one-on-one in pass pro, plays through the whistle, and gets after it. <em>OL Grant Foes 21’ Princeton <a href="https://twitter.com/GrantFoes">Twitter</a></em> Mr. Foes is from Princeton, he gets hands-on quickly and creates running lanes. He keeps his feet driving resulting in pancaking defenders, washes the d-line down, and works up to 2nd level blocks. Mr. Foes fires off of the ball and gets after it with his playstyle. <em>OL Cooper Starks 23’ North Mac <a href="https://twitter.com/cooper_starks">Twitter</a></em> Mr. Starks is from North Mac, he keeps his feet driving resulting in pancaking the defender and blocks in open space. He gets hands-on quickly, washes the d-line down, and holds his own one-on-one in pass pro. Mr. Starks plays through the whistle, fires off the ball, and gets after it with his aggressive playstyle. <em>OL Thomas Cahill 21’ Eureka <a href="https://twitter.com/thomascahill58">Twitter</a></em> Mr. Cahill is from Eureka, he creates running lanes when pulling and holds his own one-on-one in pass pro. He keeps his feet driving resulting in pancaking the defender, works up to 2nd level blocks, and plays through the whistle showcasing his aggressive playstyle. <span style="text-decoration: underline; font-size: 14pt;"><em><strong>2nd Team</strong></em></span> <em>QB [player_tooltip player_id="20221" first="Reed" last="Braundmeier"] 21’ Mater Dei <a href="https://twitter.com/Rbraund14">Twitter</a></em> Mr. Braundmeier is from Mater Dei, he puts the ball in the receiver's basket and has a touch on the deep ball. He gets the ball off under pressure, makes level 1 2 &amp; 3 throws, and can put zip on the ball. Mr. Braundmeier extends plays by finding the man downfield utilizing his pocket footwork, runs the read-option, and is mobile. <em>QB [player_tooltip player_id="65076" first="Ike" last="Wiley"] 21’ Quincy Notre Dame <a href="https://twitter.com/IkeWiley1">Twitter</a></em> Mr. Wiley is from Quincy Notre Dame, he has a touch on the deep ball and makes level 3 throws. He can get the ball out quickly, puts the ball in the receiver's basket, and can throw on the run. Mr. Wiley extends plays by scrambling showcasing his mobility, reads blocks well, and can get the ball off under pressure. <em>RB Zachary Smith 21’ Marquette Catholic <a href="https://twitter.com/Zachary2smith">Twitter</a></em> Mr. Smith is from Marquette Catholic, he can mix in the N/S and E/W running style and has quick acceleration. He breaks arm tackles by keeping his feet driving, runs jet sweeps, and reads blocks well. Mr. Smith bursts through the line of scrimmage, is elusive making the first defender miss, and blocks downfield for his teammates. <em>RB Trenton Taylor 22’ Du Pec <a href="https://twitter.com/trentontaylor__">Twitter</a></em> Mr. Taylor is from Du Pec, he's an N/S runner and bursts through the line of scrimmage. He reads blocks well, has quick acceleration, and isn't afraid to lower his shoulder. Mr. Taylor breaks arm tackles by keeping his feet driving, fights for extra yards by playing through contact, and can catch out of the backfield. He gets upfield after securing the catch and uses his jump cuts well. <em>WR James Linn 21’ North Boone <a href="https://twitter.com/j_linn84">Twitter</a></em> Mr. Linn is from North Boone, he's quick off the line of scrimmage and is a deep threat. He gets upfield after securing the catch, makes contested catches by high pointing the ball, and finds the soft spot in the defense. Mr. Linn has a good break at the top of the route creating separation from the defender and makes the catch in traffic. <em>WR Noah Sanders 21’ Williamsville</em> Mr. Sanders is from Williamsville, he breaks arm tackles by keeping his feet driving and gets upfield after securing the catch. He makes contested catches by high pointing the ball, finds the soft spot in the defense, and is a deep threat with his quick acceleration. <em>OL Matthew Dixon 22’ Marquette Catholic </em> Mr. Dixon is from Marquette Catholic, he keeps his feet driving resulting in pancaking the defender and gets to 2nd level blocks. He fires off the ball, creates running lanes when pulling, and plays through the whistle. Not only this, but Mr. Dixon also gets after it showcasing his aggressive playstyle. <em>OL Tyler Bertram 21’ Quincy Notre Dame <a href="https://twitter.com/TylerBertram5">Twitter</a></em> Tyler Bertram is from Quincy Notre Dame, he creates running lanes when pulling and keeps his feet driving resulting in pancaking defenders. He holds his own one-on-one in pass pro, is quick off the ball, and gets after it by playing through the whistle showcasing his aggressive playstyle. <em>OL Tyler Reed 23’ Byron </em> Mr. Reed is from Byron, he creates running lanes when pulling and keeps his feet driving resulting in pancaking defenders.
