We are going to get to know some more quarterbacks in the class of 2024. The potential in this group is impressive and some of the names have the opportunity to make plenty of noise over the next few years.
Gideon Motes Gideon Motes 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Bryant | 2024 State AR -Bryant
The Bryant Hornets have another impressive quarterback coming up through the ranks. Motes is a versatile quarterback that is dangerous when he gets out of the pocket. He throws an accurate pass and is impressive throwing the ball on the run. One facet that scouts are going to be impressed with is how strong an arm that Motes has. Motes throws a good deep ball and he thrown with touch or burn the ball into a wide receiver. Motes is going to be a quarterback to keep an eye on over the next few years.
Jake Casey Jake Casey 6'4" | 180 lbs | QB Bentonville West | 2024 State AR -Bentonville West
Casey already has the size and ability to be a quarterback that will cause the 7-A West some problems over the next few years. At 6-4, Casey has the size to look over the defense. He moves around well in the pocket and does a good job of extending the play long enough to make a throw. Casey has a strong arm, and he makes the tough throws look easy. The Bentonville West Wolverine is going to be a quarterback to keep an eye on over the next few years. He shows good awareness for a young quarterback, and he is someone that has the tools to be a special one.
Ashton Gray Ashton Gray 6'1" | 200 lbs | QB Marion | 2024 State AR -Marion
The first thing that will stick out about Gray is that he throws the football with good zip. He does a good job of making the intermediate throws and burning the ball into his wide receivers. Gray does an excellent job of knowing when to escape the pocket and make plays with his legs. He can scramble out of the pocket to extend the drives or move around just enough to make a throw to an open receiver. The potential is there for the Patriots to have an impressive season and I look for Gray to impress scouts as well as fans over the next two seasons.
Landon Holcomb Landon Holcomb 6'0" | 205 lbs | QB Pine Bluff | 2024 State AR -Pine Bluff
The Pine Bluff signal caller throws a strong and accurate deep ball. Holcomb can make all the throws needed to run the Zebras’ offense effectively. When Pine Bluff is in the red zone Holcomb does an impressive job of throwing the fade route and putting his wide receivers in a good position got haul the pass in for a touchdown. He is a dangerous quarterback throwing; however, Holcomb also makes good use of his legs and can pick up extra yardage or extend the play in impressive fashion. Holcomb has the potential to have a big career for the Zebras over the next few years.
Westin Keeton Westin Keeton 6'0" | 165 lbs | QB Morrilton | 2024 State AR -Morrilton
The Morrilton Devil Dogs are becoming well known for producing talented quarterbacks. Westin Keeton Westin Keeton 6'0" | 165 lbs | QB Morrilton | 2024 State AR has the potential to be the next in line as the field general for the Devil Dogs. Keeton has displayed an accurate arm and can fit the ball into some tight windows. One facet of his game is that he has a good mental clock in his head, and he knows when to escape the pocket. Keeton has the arm strength to throw his wide receivers open and that is going to serve him well over the next few seasons. Keep an eye on Keeton, he is a talented quarterback with a strong arm.
Grayson Porter Grayson Porter 6'1" | 170 lbs | QB Ashdown | 2024 State AR -Ashdown
Porter is a dangerous quarterback when he is scrambling out of the pocket. He is an extremely tough quarterback to bring down and makes good use of his speed. Porter is a great athlete, and he does a good job of being able to throw on the run. Ashdown is a team that has plenty of talent and this is going to be a fun team to watch this season. Look for Porter to continue to make plays inside the pocket as well as out of the pocket. He has the potential to be a familiar name in the state of Arkansas this season.
