Today we take a look at some of the top senior tight ends who have earned themselves spots on our rankings and are ones to watch for this season. The tight end position is a valuable position nowadays where a hybrid type of tight end can really blend into a team’s offensive system whether that be at the high school or college level. Tight ends are special because they can block, run routes and be serious matchup nightmares for defenses.
Here is a look at a few top seniors to watch for this season. The majority of these players you will undoubtedly hear about in the headlines and see them go on to play at the next level. Let’s dive right into it and see who made our list.

One of the top ten tight ends on our rankings (7th). Llewellyn is a big receiving tight end that crosses off all the boxes for what coaches look for at the next level and even beyond. I loved his route running ability, soft hands, and ability to still be able to block. The future Oklahoma commit should be fun to watch this season.

One of our favorite tight ends in the 2022 class to watch this season is Thomas. This guy really raised his stock this past year rising to the top as one of the prominent tight ends in his class. He has a long, athletic-looking frame, long arms, and legs. Shows great speed, great route running ability, and a large catch radius. He will be one who could move himself up our charts and have a special season this year.

[player_tooltip player_id="131437" first="Thomas" last="Jewett"] | 6’4" 220 lbs | TE | Strake Jesuit | 2022
Jewett is amazingly talented at catching the ball. He can make a T.O. or Randy Moss type of catch look routine. He looks like a strong NO.1 or NO. 2 receiver that can block. I honestly think he could play receiver at the next level that’s how good he is at getting open and catching the football but he also blocks very well and is very athletic at that position so that would be a very tough one for me if I was coaching. Either way, Jewett is a dangerous threat on the field and should be special to watch this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="60729" first="Marcus" last="Vinson"] | 6’4" 215 lbs | TE | Duncanville | 2022
The Duncanville tight ends is built like an old-school full back. Tough. stout and can be added to the offensive line as a run/ pass blocker or as a pass-catcher. Vinson can be very versatile on the field. When defenses think he is being brought in to run block, he can sneak out and find himself in the end zone putting up six points. I really like this player and think he will be a strong contributor at the next level.
