We did our rankings of the top senior running backs in the state last month. This month we look at which players to keep your eye on this coming up season. These players could very well be ones that end up raising their stock in the recruiting world and earn a bunch of offers and or stars by their names. All this depends on a good season this year. Let’s take a look at which running back prospects made the list.

[player_tooltip player_id="92748" first="Jody" last="Easter"] is an athlete. He has tremendous speed and agility out of the backfield. He can take the ball into the endzone anytime he touches the football. I love this running back’s size and ability. I said hes an athlete because he plays both sides off the ball very well however, I like him best at the running back position. Should be a special player this year to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id="75121" first="Zaire" last="Green"] | 6’0" 180 lbs | RB | White Hall
Green is your workhorse back that can run in between the tackles and earn some tough yards. He maintains a low pad level running through the trenches. Has some decent speed to pair to his attributes. He’s got some good lateral speed and can make defenders miss in the open field. Should be one of those backs that raises his tock this year.

[player_tooltip player_id="104556" first="Matthew" last="Huff"] | 5’11" 190 lbs | RB | Jessieville
Huff is a violent and explosive running back out of the backfield. I loved this running back’s size and ability to make people miss in the open field. He showed some lethal juke moves on tape. His ability to cut and lateral speed are second to none. He also showed to run in between the tackles and display his ball carrier vision. I really love this back and would have to say he is most definitely an FBS caliber prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id="92740" first="Jaylen" last="Hopson"] | 5’7" 160 lbs | RB | Prescott
Jaylen is a bit undersized as a running back but he is an elite back make no mistake. He is a very shifty runner and has lethal speed. Anytime he touches the ball he has a good chance of putting up six points on the board. I think he is most definitely one to keep your eye on this season. He could sneak his way up our charts and many others.

[player_tooltip player_id="94206" first="Samuel" last="Polite"] | 5’11" 170 lbs | RB | McGehee
Samuel could be a running back that could very well make his name known this coming up season. He’s a very raw and talented back that definitely needs some fine-tuning but I love his potential. Shows great balance staying on his feet after contact. Hard nose runner, one worthy of keeping your eye on this guy this coming up season.
[player_tooltip player_id="94169" first="Channing" last="Woodson"] | 5’9" 195 lbs | RB | McGehee
A downhill runner that can run in between the tackles or catch passes out of the backfield. A little undersized but I think he still has some time to grow and some mass to his frame. One that could possibly surprise a lot of people this coming up season.
