As we have seen the past few days, there are still several high-quality running backs available from Indiana’s Class of 2021. Today, we continue taking a look at the unsigned running back talent in the state. These four running back are elite student-athletes, who are capable of excelling at the collegiate level. All four possess the physical and mental tools needed to be a great college running back. Any coaches who are looking for a talented running back with a chip on their shoulder, should look no further.

[player_tooltip player_id="39019" first="Isaiah" last="Martin"] is a physical running back who will wear down a defense. Martin has a direct running-style and he does well to get right to the point of attack. Martin is a downhill runner and he is physically imposing on every run. Martin runs right through defenders and he picks up extra yardage. He keeps the offense moving and allows for his team to control the pace of the game. [player_tooltip player_id="39019" first="Isaiah" last="Martin"]’s skillset is perfectly tailored for the college game.

[player_tooltip player_id="39020" first="Tommy" last="Burbee"] is a multi-purpose player who can frustrate a defense on any play. He is a very elusive runner. Burbee frequently makes tacklers miss and he tires them out by making them chase him. Burbee has the vision to find space and gain additional yardage. Burbee is also a threat on kickoff returns. He showcases many of those same running back skills on special teams. Burbee finds a lane and kicks it into another gear and he makes potential tacklers miss. [player_tooltip player_id="39020" first="Tommy" last="Burbee"] is an exciting player who can energize an entire team.
[player_tooltip player_id="81701" first="Aaron" last="Nevil"], 5’8, 230 pounds, North Harrison
[player_tooltip player_id="81701" first="Aaron" last="Nevil"] has an old-school running-style that is very fun to watch. One tackler is never enough to get Nevil on the ground. He bulldozes right through attempted tackles. His highlight tape is full of instances where he makes defenders look silly when they try to stop him. [player_tooltip player_id="81701" first="Aaron" last="Nevil"] wastes no time at all getting to the designed point of attack on the play. [player_tooltip player_id="81701" first="Aaron" last="Nevil"] can be incredibly impactful for any college offense. He can be a force in short yardage situations.
[player_tooltip player_id="81741" first="Ryan" last="Walsh"], 5’11, 190 pounds, Andrean
[player_tooltip player_id="81741" first="Ryan" last="Walsh"] dominates on both sides of the ball. He is a terrific linebacker who can disrupt an offense’s game plan. Walsh is remarkably quick and, just like when he is fulfilling his linebacker duties, he uses that speed to his advantage when he is playing running back. Walsh hits the hole hard and he runs right past defenders. Walsh can make moves to evade tacklers. [player_tooltip player_id="81741" first="Ryan" last="Walsh"] is such and exciting player, and he can help set the tone for the entire program.
These four running backs have proven that they have the ability to be great players in college. All four can help take an offense to the next level. Each prospect has a special skillset that could be useful in a college offense. All four of these student-athletes possess the talent and toughness needed to be great backs. College coaching staffs would be making a great decision giving these four highly underrated players an opportunity.
