May of which are doing everything they can to be discovered, and project to have big time seasons next fall. Although their is still much room for growth and development, the potential is there. Here’s a look at some unranked WR’s to know in the state of Washington:
Ty Snider, 6’3″ 180lbs, Ridgefield HS ’22
Snider hauled in 31 receptions for 484 yards and 7 TD’s in just 5 games played. He sizes up with good length and would transition well to an X or Z position at the next level. He’s creative off the LOS to generate a solid release and gets into his route well. He anticipates contact well and secures the catch. Good route runner overall and is a mismatch at the high school level on the outsides given his frame and coordination.
Thaddeus Umi-Tuato’o, 5’9″ 160lbs, Auburn Riverside HS ’22
Umi-Tuato’o is a very dynamic player that will transition well as a slot at the next level, but makes plays from anywhere for Auburn Riverside. He is a clean route runner and is electric with the ball in his hands. He shows solid body control and balance along the boundary and can catch the ball in traffic. Good change of direction and is dangerous after the catch.
Cole Miller, 6’1″ 180lbs, Steilacoom HS ’22
Miller pulled in 22 receptions for 447 yards and 4 TD’s in a 7 game season, ultimately totaling 536 all purpose yards and 6 total TD’s. He is explosive at the top of routes with good top end speed. They like to use him in a variety of ways and he holds solid position versatility with strong potential to bust loose next season.
Job Kralik, 5’11” 170lbs, Eatonville HS ’23
Kralik is a big play threat for Eatonville as he possesses solid to end speed and is a very versatile player. Out of his 15 receptions, 7 of them were TD’s in just a 6 game season. He can take the top off a defense, take a screen for a big play, and be utilized well on jet sweeps or reverses.
Jason Grant, 6’1″ 205lbs, Toppenish HS ’22
Grant hauled in 22 receptions for 400 yards and 8 TD’s in just 5 games played. Grant was a TD machine for Toppenish and held a significant role during his short junior season. He was a consistent mismatch throughout the season, and projects to put up big numbers next year given a full season.
Sean Mahaffey, 6’0″ 160lbs, Rainier HS ’22
Mahaffey is a solid all around athlete for Rainier. He took over the RB role late in the season, but has flashed potential at both WR and RB for Rainier. He accumulated a total of 518 all purpose yards with 5 TD’s in the 6 game season, and will be a big player for Rainier next fall.
Jakob Lucht, 6’0″ 155lbs, Eatonville ’22
Another Eatonville kid makes the list, as he hauled in 14 receptions for 314 yards and 6 TD’s in 6 games played. The Lucht and Kralik duo next year for Eatonville looks very promising, as they’ll open up opportunities for each other. Expect Lucht to enter the fall with a big role and a chip on his shoulder.
Reese Vassar, 5’8″ 150lbs, Brewster HS ’23
The sophomore snagged 16 catches for 348 yards and 2 TD’s in a 5 game season and flashed the ability to run clean inside routes and catch the ball in traffic. Vassar has good short area quickness as he does a good job from the slot. He has solid hands and and should have a bigger role heading into his junior campaign.
