They block, they run routes and sometimes they are the most talented players on the team. I’m talking about the tight ends. Just look at the NFL tight ends that have had so much success. The height, size and speed of these guys are big time match up problems for lesser defensive backs or linebackers. The best ones can do it all. We take a look at some of the top tight ends that have made their way onto our rankings list. The aggies commit is a 6-4 senior tight end who can do it all. He has tremendous character, size, and ability. He can run routes with the best of them and he can get physical as a blocker and move the defensive line backwards.   Some that have raised their stock the most would be Southlake Carrols - [player_tooltip player_id="131432" first="RJ" last="Maryland"], and College stations - [player_tooltip player_id="131434" first="Houston" last="Thomas"]. Both have seen their recruitment take off this year and played a significant enough 2020 season to place them in the top ten in the state. Rj moves up to the 5th spot and holds offers from The U (Miami), Boston College, Colorado and Duke just to name a few. Look for him to put on a tremendous senior campaign.   Some other notable names are Creekview’s, [player_tooltip player_id="131429" first="Sean" last="Sallis"], St. Puis X, [player_tooltip player_id="131430" first="Logan" last="Tanner"] who holds 19 Division I offers from schools like Utah and Baylor, 6-4 Mount Pleasant Miler McCrumby, [player_tooltip player_id="131433" first="Jason" last="Llewellyn"] who has also made his way unto the list.   All this week and month we will be bringing ranking content for the classes of 2022, 23 and 2024.
