SATURDAY SPOTLIGHT: Jaxon Scott, Stuart Martin County
Our objective during the summer months, leading up to the 2021 season is to ensure that you will always have something fresh to check out.
From our TEAM PREVIEWS to daily prospect watch blogs and player spotlights, we have you covered. But we wanted to add a FREE blog each weekend to show those who are NOT subscribers exactly the things that you miss every day. NOBODY can provide you the daily content and social media exposure that promotes and just does not follow.
What we are going to bring your way is a look at a football talent that may not be a household word, but should be!
We hope you enjoy this something extra that will bring you back to not only check out our website, but also our social media on Twitter – where everyone is interactive (@PrepRedzoneFL).
THE SCOTT FILE
Jaxon Scott Jaxon Scott QB Stuart Martin County | 2022 FL
POSITION: QB
CLASS: 2022
SCHOOL: Stuart Martin County
HEIGHT: 6-3
WEIGHT: 195
HEAD COACH: Rod Smith
WHAT ARE COACHES MISSING: Having watched this quality young man over the past two years – on tape and in person – this is one of those prospects that may not jump out at you at first, but then you watch and appreciate what he’s all about.
You want a taller quarterback? He’s your player. Looking for a mobile quarterback who can also hang out in the pocket and look for receivers? He checks that box as well.
What Jaxon does for the Tigers is create opportunities for himself and the team by knowing how to read and anticipate. He extends plays because he is both football smart and talented.
Sporting a 3.5 GPA in the classroom, here is someone who picks things up quickly, and has become wise enough to know that every play does not have to go the distance, and that using every weapon you have will end up helping you balance the offense, significantly.
Passing wise, his short game is really sound. Watching him this spring, his intermediate passes are also getting much better – putting more touch on the ball, while still looking off one and two primary targets.
Jaxon also throws a solid long ball, although he does not rely on it to get quick scores. His arm is not just strong, but accurate with touch.
Programs looking for a passing quarterback who can run and create when needed, here is your player – who can still be further developed while using his natural gifts.
