With every adjustment to the Prep RedZone Arkansas rankings, we have prospects that perform well. The players may perform well in camps, games, practices, or even at training facilities where they are putting extra work. The list is subject to change and adjustments will be made before the season and again after the season has ended. Should players not be happy with where they fall on the list, they will have plenty of opportunities to move up the list. We will look at five players who have moved up the list over the past few months. [player_tooltip player_id="75105" first="Bladen" last="Fike"]-Quarterback-Fayetteville The Fayetteville quarterback has shown tremendous arm strength at player performance camps over the past few months. Fike has shown that he can throw accurate intermediate as well as deep passes. The defense must account for Fike when he gets out of the pocket as well. He can be a threat running or throwing the football. Fike’s performances in player performance camps and spring practice has helped him move up the rankings for the May edition. The 2022 quarterback class is underrated, and [player_tooltip player_id="75105" first="Bladen" last="Fike"] is a player that will wind up with the spotlight on him as he enters the 2021 season. He has the arm strength and the accuracy to be playing division one on Saturdays in the not-too-distant future. [player_tooltip player_id="93533" first="Jordan" last="Mills"]-Quarterback-Hot Springs Lakeside Over the past few months, the quarterback class of 2022 has really started to impress scouts in performance camps, 7-on-7 tournaments, and in spring practices. [player_tooltip player_id="93533" first="Jordan" last="Mills"] is another quarterback that has moved up the rankings for the May edition of the rankings. Mills does a great job of keeping his eyes down the field. He is not afraid to scramble out of the pocket, but he is usually looking to make the throw to an open wide receiver. Mills can extend the play with his legs or he will get out of the pocket and use his legs to pick up a first down. At 6-4 and 209-pounds Mills has the size and strength to be a division one quarterback and his solid performance in player performance camps over the past few weeks are indicative of that fact. [player_tooltip player_id="99474" first="Patrick" last="Sixbey"]-Linebacker-El Dorado Over the past few weeks, the El Dorado Wildcats film stuck out to me. Particularly, the film on the defensive side of the ball. Sixbey is a nightmare for the opposing offensive line to account for and attempt to block. He is extremely effective at being able to defeat blocks and get into the offensive backfield. Sixbey is a player that plays with good speed and he seems to always be around the football. He is effective at dropping into pass coverage as well as rushing the passer. Sixbey is a player that division one scouts are going to want to watch when the season kicks off, the young man has all the tools to be a solid player on Saturdays. [player_tooltip player_id="93534" first="Adrian" last="Carranco"]-Wide Receiver-Beebe [player_tooltip player_id="93534" first="Adrian" last="Carranco"] is a wide receiver that has flown under the radar but has impressed many scouts and observers in 7-on-7 competition as well as practices. Offensive coaches can get creative with Carranco. Carranco can line up in the slot position or at the outside wide receiver position. He does a great job of creating separation from the opposing defensive back by using his speed and steady route running. Carranco has the ability to create explosive plays and can be a nightmare to bring down in the open field. Beebe does a great job of making use of his 6-3 frame in the red zone. Scouts should make a trip to Beebe to check out Carranco in person, they will not be disappointed. [player_tooltip player_id="107155" first="Landon" last="Semrad"]-Wide Receiver-Prairie Grove Over the past few months, a prospect that has started to stick out is Prairie Grove wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="107155" first="Landon" last="Semrad"]. When the Tigers need a big play in the passing game Semrad is the receiver that the quarterback looks to. At 6-4 and 190-pounds, Semrad is a nightmare for opposing cornerbacks to contain. He gives Prairie Grove a threat in the red zone. Semrad is tall enough to cause opposing defensive backs problems and he is quick enough to work across the middle of the field. Prairie Grove is always a talented team, and this season should not be any different for the Tigers. I expect the Tigers and Semrad to have an impressive 2021 season.
