Pinellas Running Backs Look to Dominate in 2021

Today I’m going to take a look at some guys that should be mentioned as much as the more highly recruited players in the area. At Prep RedZone Florida we are different than most sites where we want to emphasize guys that are not being heavily recruited and try to promote them so they also get an opportunity to play in college and get the exposure they deserve!       Markese Norfleet-Northeast 5’11 160lbs Norfleet is a phenomenal sophomore prospect that that made 3rd Team All-State last season. He had 941 rushing yards on 100 carries and 11 touchdowns. He averaged 134 yards per game in 2020. Strengths: he’s a silky-smooth runner that has excellent cutback ability, burst, and quickness. Has outstanding straight-line speed and lateral quickness, never loses speed when making cuts. Strengths: electric athlete that excels on both sides of the football, has very good vision and balance, reads his blocks really well and hits the hole with burst and acceleration. Film: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/13038287/Zuri-Watson">https://www.hudl.com/profile/13038287/Zuri-Watson</a>   Ke’von Marion- St Petersburg Catholic 5’8 160lbs Marion had a terrific Junior season with 83 carries for 784 yards and seven touchdowns, he also had nine receptions for 148 yards and 1 touchdown. Last season he played behind three seniors and rushed for 178 yards and averaged almost 10 yards per carry! Strengths: he’s definitely a good sleeper prospect that can be used in the passing game especially on screens, showing good hands, cutback ability, and picks up tough yards running with power and breaking arm tackles. Strengths: he’s a north-south runner and despite his size runs with a lot of power, toughness and forward lean. His balance, burst, lateral agility and vision are very good.
