The National Football Foundation Showcase on Saturday in St. Louis attracted dozens of football prospects from throughout Missouri, Illinois and even a pair from Wisconsin.
We are taking a look at some of the top performers this week. We previously highlighted a few players from the Class of 2022 who stood out (links at the bottom of the page) and now we’re turning our attention to the Class of 2023.
Here are a few 2023 offensive prospects who stood out...

With a shortage of offensive lineman at the Showcase, McGee (pictured above) found himself getting a lot of quality coaching and reps against a strong group of defensive lineman. McGee was up to the task, using his impressive strength — the sophomore recently recorded 17 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press — and good footwork to win a majority of his one-on-one reps.
McGee earned the starting left guard spot on a good CBC High School squad this past fall. Seeing him work on Saturday, he looks like he will be one of the area’s top interior offensive linemen for the next two seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id="103784" first="Drake" last="Faust"], QB, Chaminade, 5-11, 151
Like with McGee, a lack of quarterbacks at the Showcase meant Faust got plenty of reps (alongside Holt 2022 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="37580" first="Cooper" last="Brown"]) and was able to show what he was capable of.
Faust also tested well. He ran a 4.88 second hand-timed 40-yard dash, recorded a broad jump of 9 feet 2 inches and a vertical leap of 26 1/2 inches.
Faust saw some action on Chaminade’s varsity this past season, as a sophomore back-up behind starter [player_tooltip player_id="37535" first="Cam" last="Epps"]. He completed six of eight passes for 103 yards and a touchdown and carried once for 10 yards.

[player_tooltip player_id="171960" first="Kel" last="Battle"], WR, Vianney, 5-10, 167
Battle’s testing numbers will make him a player to keep an eye on for the next two seasons.
The sophomore wide receiver, who also plays basketball, ran a 4.75 hand-timed 40 (4.79 laser), recorded a 4.15 shuttle, broad jump of 8 feet 10 inches and a vertical leap of 26 inches.
Vianney only played five games this past season and Battle recorded eight catches for 60 yards. He ranked third on his team in receptions and fourth in receiving yardage.
