Prep Redzone will release an updated list of the top Class of 2022 New Jersey High School football players during the month of May. In the meantime, we will spend the next several weeks doing research on prospects. Prep Redzone New Jersey is always open to hear from coaches. If you know of a Class of 2022 offensive lineman that should be considered for this list, email us at easternparecruits@gmail.com.
No. 9 [player_tooltip player_id="138929" first="Robby" last="Mandel"]/6-5/265/Ramsay
Mandel has offers from Bucknell, Fordham, Georgetown, Lafayette, Lehigh, UMass, and New Hampshire. Most of his offers are on the FCS level, but that could change if he’s able to get on college camps for prospect camps.
No. 8 [player_tooltip player_id="115064" first="Caron" last="McNair"]/6-5/275/Donovan Catholic
McNair has offers from Buffalo, Colorado State, Delaware State, Kent State, UMass, and Old Dominion. He is an offensive guard.
No. 7 [player_tooltip player_id="27982" first="Vince" last="Carpenter"]/6-6/275/Red Bank
Carpenter’s 12-plus offers include East Carolina, Houston, Kent State, Kentucky, UConn, and UMass. He is an offensive tackle who is athletic and able to block in space.
No. 6 [player_tooltip player_id="115066" first="Andre" last="Oben"]/6-4/280/St. Peter’s Prep

Syracuse, Purdue, Temple, Liberty, and UMass are among his 10-plus offers. If he lands at a Power 5 school, I can see him being moved from tackle to guard.
No. 5 [player_tooltip player_id="115062" first="Matt" last="Fries"]/6-5/275/Cranford
Fries 20-plus offers include Arizona, Charlotte, West Virginia, UCF, Toledo, and Syracuse. He is an offensive tackle.
No. 4 [player_tooltip player_id="107408" first="Taj" last="White"]/6-6/300/Hudson Catholic
White is one of several Rutgers Class of 2022 offensive linemen commits on this list. He committed to Rutgers on Feb. 3. Akron, Boston College, Buffalo, and Maryland. It wouldn’t surprise me if White had his position changed from offensive tackle to offensive guard once he gets to Rutgers. He’s a powerful blocker and does a superb job of staying low in the blocks.
No. 3 [player_tooltip player_id="107409" first="Nelson" last="Monegro"]/6-7/280/Union City
Monegro is the latest lineman from Union City to commit to a Power 5 school. He committed to Rutgers on Feb. 4. Akron, Arizona State, Buffalo, and Central Michigan were among his other offers. He’s a mountain of a man, and when he extends his hands and mirrors the defender to perfection, nobody is getting around Monegro.
No. 2 [player_tooltip player_id="115060" first="Joe" last="De Croce"]/6-6/290/Northern Regional
DeCroce made his choice to go commit to an in-state college a couple of months ago. He committed to Rutgers on Feb. 6. Boston College, Buffalo, UConn, and Louisville were among his nine offers. He obliterates defensive ends when he blocks regularly. DeCroce played only two games during the 2020 season because of eligibility issues. He is an offensive tackle.
No. 1 [player_tooltip player_id="27960" first="Jacob" last="Allen"]/6-6/270/Hun School
Allen is the undisputed No. 1 right now with over 25-plus offers to his name. Michigan State, Penn State, Rutgers. Alabama and Arizona State are among the schools competing for Allen’s commitment. He’s a Power 5 coach’s dream. Allen has the size, the length, the power, the athleticism that could land him in the NFL one day. He is an offensive tackle.
