Alabama Evals: Class 2A Region 2 Top Players

Region 2 in Class 2A has a multitude of great players heading into 2021. The top players from this area are beginning to be noticed, with some already having division 1 offers.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="126047" first="Emmanuel" last="Henderson"] </strong>| 6-1 RB, OLB, SS | Geneva County HS
Henderson is the top running back in the state of Alabama for the class of 2022. Earlier this Spring, he committed to the University of Alabama.
Henderson is a phenomenal running back with great speed and even better power. He can force his way past defenders and gain extra yards and is a sensational pass catcher out of the backfield.
<strong>James Carter </strong>| 6-2 WR, FS | Abbeville HS
Carter is a terrific receiver on the outside. His junior year was exceptional and he has the chance to finish on a high note in 2021.
Carter has great size and great hands to get separation at the line of scrimmage to work past defenders and make solid catches.
<strong>Byron Burks </strong>| 5-7 CB, RB | Elba HS
Burks is a terrific player on both sides of the ball. On defense, he can read the quarterback’s eyes all the way and defend passes and battle for interceptions. He can also make tackles in the secondary to save would be touchdowns.
At running back, Burks has great speed and footwork to gain yards in crucial downs.
<strong>Carson Wise </strong>| 5-11 QB | Elba HS
Wise is an underrated quarterback in Region 2. The junior had a great season in 2020 and will look to repeat his success in 2021.
Wise makes all the right reads and can escape pressure to make throws on the run to his receivers. But in the pocket, he gets the ball out quick and throws on target.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="125533" first="Jaeden" last="Jackson"] </strong>| 6-2 DT, DE | G.W. Long HS
Jackson is quickly climbing up the recruiting boards heading into 2021. By the time it’s said and done, he could be a five star prospect.
He has a great point of attack to get past offensive linemen and get pressure in the backfield. Jackson has quick feet and great hands to move past his man and get tackles early after the snap.
<strong>Cameron Langford </strong>| 6-2 OLB, DE, G | G.W. Long HS
Langford is an all around player for the Rebels’ defense. At outside linebacker, he can force the quarterback to throw his way into coverage and make a quick tackle on the ball carrier. At the line, Langford is a force that can work his way to get pressure with his quick feet.
<strong>Sawyer Harris </strong>| 5-7 WR, FS | Houston County HS
Harris is a great underrated player to watch in 2021.
Though he will be entering his senior year, this could be his chance to become a more desired recruit. Harris has great hands and quick feet off the line of scrimmage at wide receiver. He runs routes with ease and barely runs the wrong route.
At free safety, he plays high in the secondary but can blitz in certain situations and get quick tackles after the snap.
