8A District 9 QB's to Watch for in 2021

<div id="contentsContainer" class="style-scope qowt-page"> <div id="contents" class="style-scope qowt-page"> With the 2021 season inching closer, I’m spotlighting quarterback prospects from every Classification/District/Region in Florida. Today we look at prospects from 8A District 9. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level. No other prep site brings you more prospects to check out than Prep Redzone Florida!         Foster Searcy- Celebration High c/o 23 6’0 170lbs Searcy looks to take the reins again for Celebration High after starting as a sophomore last season and passing for 985 yards and eight touchdowns. He should be in line for a good season with a lot of the skill players returning for Celebration this season. Strengths: looks to be a pretty good athlete and shows the ability to throw on the run with accuracy, throws high-arcing deep balls with touch and anticipation. </div> </div> <div id="contentsContainer" class="style-scope qowt-page"> <div id="contents" class="style-scope qowt-page"> Film: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/13489082/Foster-Searcy">https://www.hudl.com/profile/13489082/Foster-Searcy</a>   Joe Joe Patti- Dr. Phillips High 5’9 180lbs Patti is one of the best returning quarterback prospects in the district, he led Dr. Phillips to a 5-2 record last season. He’s a dual-threat prospect that should make a lot of noise in helping Dr. Phillips advance in the playoffs. Strengths: quick setup and compact delivery, reads the field quickly and has a very fast release, good scrambling ability with quick feet, shows the ability to place the ball where only his receivers can catch it, very good at throwing on the run because of his athleticism. Last season he passed for 1473 yards, 14 touchdowns, and completed over 56% of his passes. Strengths: he shows good timing and anticipation on his passes hitting receivers in stride, and makes decisions quickly and gets rid of the ball. He has the ability to elude the rush and deliver strikes, good prospect that will open some eyes this season Film: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/10189480/CJ-Brooks">https://www.hudl.com/profile/10189480/CJ-Brooks</a>   [player_tooltip player_id="50039" first="Chad" last="Mascoe"]- Osceola High 6’2 210lbs Masco is one of the better quarterback prospects in the state, he’s a three star quarterback that has 9 offers including offers from power 5 schools such as Georgia, Auburn, and Indiana. He had a very good season last year leading Osceola to the State title game, he passed for 1438 yards, 12 touchdowns, completed 61% of his passes, and rushed for 209 yards and a touchdown. He’s rated the number two in our class of 22 quarterback Prep Redzone rankings. </div> </div> <div id="contentsContainer" class="style-scope qowt-page"> <div id="contents" class="style-scope qowt-page"> Strenghts: big athletic quarterback that throws the ball effortlessly all over the field, plays with a lot of juice and can rip it through tight windows and can also throw with touch and anticipation. Has good mechanics and can drive the ball down field, does a very good job using his feet/athleticism to get out of trouble, but keeps his eyes downfield and looking for the open man. Pop on his film and it will speak for itself. Big-time prospect! Last season he led West Orange to a 6-4 record and pass for 1282 yards and 13 touchdowns. He’s an extremely smart quarterback with a 5.0 GPA and scored a 1510 on his SAT! He’s getting a lot of attention from Ivy League schools. </div> </div> <div id="contentsContainer" class="style-scope qowt-page"> <div id="contents" class="style-scope qowt-page"> Strengths: good decision-maker, sound footwork, and shows a quick delivery and smooth mechanics. Does a good job using his athleticism (4.87 40) to extend plays, processes defenses quickly and distributes the ball all over the field.
