Currently, the number one overall player in the state of Arkansas is an offensive lineman. Which speaks to just how talented the class is for the 2024 prospects. In this article, we are going to examine some of the offensive linemen to know in the class of 2024.
Vinny Winters Vinny Winters 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL Malvern | 2024 State AR -Malvern
Winters is currently the number one overall player in the state of Arkansas for the class of 2024. Winters has extremely quick feet and gets out of his stance well. The more you watch Winters play the more impressed you become with just how strong a player that Winters is. He uses his hands well and can overpower opposing defensive linemen. Winters is always looking to find the next defensive player to block and that is one quality that is going to make him a great player at the next level.
Lane Jeffcoat Lane Jeffcoat 6'9" | 310 lbs | OL Bentonville West | 2024 State AR -Bentonville West
Jeffcoat is a player that is extremely impressive. The Bentonville West offensive linemen measured out at 6-9 with the frame to add weight to his 320-pound frame. Jeffcoat is quick out of his stance and plays with a chip on his shoulder. The Wolverines have a mainstay on the offensive line for the next few years and a prospect that division one teams are going to want to take a closer look at. Jeffcoat is solid from a run blocking perspective. He drives the opposing defensive lineman into the ground. Meanwhile, from a pass blocking perspective, Jeffcoat uses his power and speed well to keep the opposing defensive lineman off balance.
Chauncey Johnson Chauncey Johnson 6'5" | 300 lbs | OL Lonoke | 2024 State AR -Lonoke
At 6-5 and 265-pounds Johnson is a quick offensive lineman that does an impressive job in the pass blocking department. He is a quick player out of the stance and makes good use of his hands. Johnson gets into the opposing defensive player quickly and can mix his speed and power well. From a run blocking perspective, he looks to drive his opponent to the ground and when given the opportunity he looks for another player to block at the second level. Johnson is going to be a player to watch this season, the young man has the potential to play on Saturdays in the next few years.
Hunter Marshall Hunter Marshall 5'8" | 245 lbs | OL Farmington | 2024 State AR -Farmington
One player that is constantly working to get better on the offensive line is Hunter Marshall Hunter Marshall 5'8" | 245 lbs | OL Farmington | 2024 State AR . He is quickly becoming one of the best centers in the state. Marshall does an excellent job snapping the football and he is becoming a blocker that can create rushing lanes for his running back. He is an extremely quick player out of the stance. Marshall does a great job in the passing game. He uses his speed well and he is a deceptively strong offensive lineman. Marshall has a chance to explode from a recruiting perspective over the next few years.
Thomas Cochrane Thomas Cochrane 6'2" | 345 lbs | OL Newport | 2024 State AR -Newport
The Newport Greyhounds have an impressive roster going into the 2021 season. Cochrane has the potential to see some playing time on the offensive line this season. At 6-2 and 345-pounds, Cochrane has a chance to be a mainstay on the offensive line over the next few years for the Greyhounds. He is a player with tremendous potential and will be a player to watch over the next few seasons for the Greyhounds.
