We have ranked some of the top Quarterbacks in the class of 2023. Some of these guys could very well have breakout seasons next year and be thrusted into the national spotlight. Here are some of the top junior quarterbacks in the state.
[player_tooltip player_id="75130" first="Cedric" last="Simmons"] | 6’0" 170 lbs | QB | Malvern | 2023
Cedric is a dual-threat QB who can torch defenses and make them pay with his legs or arm. He is a little undersized as a QB but he has a decent arm and good speed. Shows he can throw darts on the run. He started as a freshman on varsity.
[player_tooltip player_id="75133" first="Eli" last="Wisdom"] | 6’0" 180 lbs | Shiloh Christian
The 4A All-State quarterback and 2020 state champion made our NO.2 spot. Eli is also a dual-threat QB who can put up some eye-popping numbers through the air and ground. In 2020 Eli completed 145 of his 240 passes and complied 2,125 passing yards through the air with 23 touchdowns. Also rushing for 166 carries for 1,464 yards rushing and 24 touchdowns. He is easily the most talented player on the field every time he takes the field. He almost looks like Johnny football (Texas A&M Heisman winner QB) back there taking snaps and torching defenses with his legs and arm.

[player_tooltip player_id="75139" first="Floyd" last="Williams"] | 6’1" 170 lbs |Gosnell
Floyd has elite speed and ran a 4.49 laser 40-yard dash recently. He has decent size relative to the QB position and I think he has time to add mass to his frame. His sophomore season he played both ways and all over the field. He is most definitely a versatile player that can play multiple positions on the gridiron.
[player_tooltip player_id="75141" first="Donovan" last="Whitten"] | 6’3" 200 lbs | Arkadelphia
A two-sport athlete that plays excellent on the baseball diamond and on the gridiron.

[player_tooltip player_id="97101" first="Luke" last="King"] | 6’2" 205 lbs | Hazen
Luke has good size and frame as a QB and he can really sling the ball and find the endzone. I like his ability to out the ball where only his receivers can catch it. He played for Triple J 7-on-7 this offseason and was terrific every time I saw him out.

[player_tooltip player_id="93816" first="Wesley" last="McKissack"] | 6’2" 165 lbs | Villonia
Wesley is a very raw quarterback who undoubtedly needs improvement to his mechanics and footwork. However, he shows a good live arm and he can throw well on the move and find open receivers at will. He looks to be proficient in the short to the intermediate passing game.
