2022 Prep RedZone Arkansas Linebacker Gems

The 2022 linebacker class in the state of Arkansas is an impressive one because of the talent that can be found throughout the class. The depth the class has is impressive. Division one players can be throughout the class of 2022. Plenty of potential exists in this group and we are going to examine some recruits that should have big 2021 season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75075" first="Kaiden" last="Turner"]-Fayetteville</strong> The future Indiana Hoosier is all over the field for the Fayetteville Bulldogs. He seems to have a nose for the football. Turner can make a solid tackle and shut down the running game from the opposition or he can drop back into pass coverage with equal effectiveness. Turner plays with good speed and he has shown that he can pick off a pass when pass defense comes into play. The Fayetteville linebacker corps has the potential to be a dangerous this season. Scouts will want to take a look at Turner and watch how disruptive a player he can be to the opposing offense. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75093" first="Kaden" last="Henley"] -Shiloh Christian</strong> The potential [player_tooltip player_id="75093" first="Kaden" last="Henley"] has is tremendous. The young man is a tackling machine and is all over the field for the Saints. Henley racked up 159 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and four interceptions on the season. The future Razorback has a nose for the football and is all over the field for Shiloh Christian. What stands out about Henley is he uses his speed well and is never out of position to make the tackle. He has good hands and can pick off the pass when he drops into coverage. Henley has the potential to have another big season in 2021 and fans as well as scouts should take a look at the Shiloh Christian linebacker. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="137076" first="Jace" last="Benesch"]-Hoxie</strong> The Hoxie linebacker plays with a chip shoulder. He does a great job of getting into the offensive backfield quickly. Benesch is an extremely disruptive player to opposing offensive linemen. Benesch does not miss tackles and he does an excellent job of being able to break down the play and attack the opposing offense. Benesch’s play has made Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Southwestern Louisiana, and UT-Martin take notice. He is looking to build on a strong 2020 season, and he has the potential to produce an even more impressive 2021 season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97472" first="Jyrin" last="Steward"]-El Dorado</strong> Steward has terrific speed. The speed he puts on display every Friday night gives the opposing offensive linemen plenty of headaches. He is always looking to play on the football. Steward will either knock the football away or he will force a fumble or even pick off the pass. Steward has learned to time the snap count well and he will use that timing of the snap count to terrorize the opposing offensive backfield. Steward has the opportunity to explode onto the scene this season and scouts should keep an eye on the El Dorado linebacker. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="120372" first="Cade" last="Fields"]-Fayetteville</strong> The Fayetteville linebacker has terrific speed. The speed not only shows up on the track but also on the field. Fields is all over the place and always around the football. From a tackling perspective, Fields is as solid as they come. He is not looking to make the big hit; however, he is looking to wrap the ball carrier up and secure the tackle. Fields is not afraid to make a play on the football and he will be a player that has the potential to make scouts take notice this season. Keep an eye on the Fayetteville linebacker corps, it is a nasty one to contend with.
