Stock Risers: 2022 Running Backs To Know

It’s hard to find another state that produces running backs like the peach state. Top college programs across the country flock to Georgia each year in search of their future running. More often than not, they find the back they’re looking for. The state once again is loaded with running back talent, and there are quite a few in the 2022 class who are seeing their stock rise more and more each day. Here are a few 2022 backs in the state who are seeing more and more interest coming their way... &nbsp; <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="95168" first="Justin" last="Williams"] - East Paulding</strong> Arguably the best running back in all of West Georgia, Williams is a tough, tackle-breaking machine who is coming off a fantastic junior season where he rushed for 1,477 yards and 19 TDs. He also helped in the passing game as he totaled 286 yards as a receiver. The three-star has great size at 6-foot-0 200-pounds which has led to offers from Nebraska, West Virginia, Minnesota, and Louisville. While those are nice offers, Williams recently picked up his biggest offer from the USC Trojans. He has an official visit set up to Nebraska in June, and schools are trying to jump in the mix in hopes of landing one of his other official visits. The Quitman native has decent size at 5-foot-10 190-pounds and holds a handful of offers from Georgia Tech, East Carolina, and App State. After his big junior season where he rushed for 1,666 yards, Arnold’s stock should continue to rise as the spring comes to a close. Covid-19 didn’t allow for college coaches to come by high schools last year, and unfortunately for Arnold, the same happened this spring. If things were different, Arnold’s offer list would be quite larger. Arnold earned an offer from Tulane last week and could see more coming his way soon. He’s a natural runner, a good athlete, and as productive as it gets. Look for him to push for the state rushing title as a senior in 2021. https://twitter.com/itsmari_12/status/1382823816963981313?s=20 &nbsp; <strong>Jordan Perry - Jefferson</strong> The Dragons were led mostly by 5-star ATH [player_tooltip player_id="33871" first="Malaki" last="Starks"] last year, but he’ll even tell you that he couldn’t have had the season he did if it weren’t for Perry. One of the more underrated players in the state, Perry is more of a true athlete than a running back, but that’s still a position he could play at the next level. At 6-foot-2 180-pounds, Perry is long, athletic, and has a knack for making big plays. Perry rushed for a respectable 434 yards last season on just 51 carries (8.5 ypc) and was a reliable option when Starks needed a break. He found the end-zone 5 times as a rusher and scored 4 more times as a receiver. He kept defenses off balance, but more than that, he was an excellent teammate. Opposing coaches raved about him all season and his teammates and coaches at Jefferson have no problem talking about how important he is to their team. He holds a few offers at this time, but he’s another running back who is seeing his stock rise.
