<span style="font-weight: 400;">With the offseason underway, many prospects are putting in work to take their game to the next level. The offseason provides time to work with positional coaches more often and attend events like 7-on-7s and camps. Many running backs starred last season and hope to continue improving their game. Let’s take a look at some running backs to monitor this offseason. This list includes dominant players, as well as players who have great potential.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">

</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Adams is our 6th ranked running back in his class. He has great size at 5’10” and 200 lbs, big enough to absorb hits. Adams is a strong runner that often requires multiple defenders to bring him down. Adams possesses breakaway speed. He rushed for 1,350 yards this past season.</span><b>

</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Alston is a workhorse back. He had 234 carries this past season, which ranked 10th in Georgia. We have him ranked as the 2nd best back in his class. Alston excels at continuing to move his feet through contact. Alston’s balance is amazing. His burst is legit and he can take it to the house when defenses aren’t careful. </span><b>

</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coney is a bigger back at 5’10” and 215 lbs who uses his size well. He is not afraid of contact and will truck defenders. He thrives running in between the tackles and outside. He has great speed for his size. Coney is a great overall back, as he can catch passes out the backfield too. </span><b>

</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Felix is an all-purpose back from south Georgia. He missed some time this past season dealing with a hamstring injury but flashed when he played. Felix is a fluid runner who exercises great patience. Felix can accelerate quickly and pull away from defenders. He is one of the best backs in the class of 2022.</span><b>

</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fulton is a promising young back, expected to see more touches next season. As a sophomore, he showed amazing strength and balance. Fulton does a good job fighting for extra yards. He recently ran a 4.54, an over .3 improvement from last year; and I expect him to keep trending in the right direction. </span><b>

</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Haynes is an elite running back and our 4th ranked overall prospect for his class. Multiple aspects of his game are simply amazing. He has great patience, awareness, explosiveness, and power. This past season he had a 311 yards and 5 touchdown performance. Haynes’ straight-line speed is fantastic. Haynes is an extremely desirable prospect.</span><b>

</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lawson is a talented young back out of Decatur. One of his best attributes is his shiftiness, he consistently makes defenders miss. Lawson has great balance and stays up after hits. He has the speed needed to bounce runs to the outside when necessary. Lawson is a patient runner who hits the hole with a burst when he finds it. </span><b>

</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lockett is our 4th ranked running back in his class. He has a solid build at 5’11” and 210 lbs and is not afraid of contact. He excels at running in between the tackles and has the burst to get past second-level defenders. Also, Lockett is a viable pass-catcher.</span><b>

</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Martin is a playmaking running back. Martin has fantastic breakaway speed, helping him break off long runs. His footwork is legit and he changes directions very well. Last season he rushed for 1,535 yards and 16 touchdowns. Martin’s balance is great and he does a good job turning negative plays into positive ones.</span><b>

</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mbadinga is a young all-purpose back. Mbadinga is a smaller elusive back who excels at making defenders miss. While he only played 5 games as a sophomore, he showed many flashes. Mbadinga is a good pass-catcher out of the backfield and has the traits to be a great receiving back in the near future. Mbadinga possesses great speed.</span><b>

</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">McDonald is a workhorse running back. He is a great combination of size and speed. McDonald has the strength to absorb hits and run over defenders. McDonald has the speed to separate from second-level defenders. He is a consistent runner that does not waiver as the game goes on. This past season he had 24 rushing touchdowns.</span><b>

</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Robinson is a great downhill runner. Robison is a strong runner capable of running through contact. He has good size at 5’11” and 190 lbs. While he is not a speedster he is able to accelerate from defenders on occasion. He has a good jump cut move to elude defenders.</span><b>

</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Rogers is a smaller playmaking back. He has amazing breakaway speed, he had 4 runs last season for 70+ yards. Rogers gets downhill quickly and can accelerate past second-level defenders. Rogers is shifty and eludes defenders often. Despite only getting 130 carriers, he finished the season with 18 rushing touchdowns.</span><b>

</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Venn is a speedster out of Buford. Venn makes quick cuts, changing direction very well. He makes second-level defenders miss and is capable of breaking one off whenever. He is a decisive runner who hits the hole quickly. Also, Venn has the skill set to succeed as a pass catcher in the backfield.</span><b>
