Today we look at some of the top prospects on the rise here in Texas. Some of the players you may have not even heard of in till this year. Either way, these are some special athletes whose recruiting has caught a hot streak and just begun to take off. A few gems that were hidden but no longer anymore and some you may have already known. Here are some of the players to look out for making noise in the high school football recruiting mix.
<strong>Reginald Stewart "Jack"</strong> (22) | 6-4 WR | East Central HS
A big 6-4 receiver who has an even larger catch radius and what I like most is that he still has room to add mass to his frame to make him next level in college. Dual-sport athlete, basketball, and football. Route running could use a little improvement. Only been playing football for two years but his skills on both the gridiron and court are elite. Blazing speed, Jack can leave defenders in the dust. Amazing high pointing ability and just an overall terrific athlete. Received his first of many offers to come from St. Norbert College. Many more are interested.

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="60739" first="Camron" last="Cooper"] </strong>(22) | 6-4 DE / TE | Dayton HS
Since we last feature Camron at the beginning of last month in March. Camron’s recruitment has since caught fire and has absolutely taken off. This big has a lot of versatility and can is very proficient on both sides of the ball at the defensive end and at the tight end. off the edge, Camron is an absolute beast and can get to the quarterback or ball carrier in the backfield in the blink of an eye. Also, not bad at tight end. Runs decent routes and has plenty of athleticism to be one of the premier players at the next level regardless of the position he plays. Holds offer to the Air Force, Colorado State University, UTSA, Lehigh, Utah State, San Diego State. Who are the others that are interested you might ask? Oh, just Wyoming, Yale, Texas Tech. The Longhorns (UT), Columbia, ACU, Rice, and Tulane.

<strong>Dejuan Lewis </strong>(22) | 5-11 DB | Pearland
Lockdown defensive back who has great size with a lean build. Play is very physical and fast. He is light on his feet and shows excellent footwork relative to the defensive back position. Dejuan was one of those hidden gems that recruitment is taking off for him. Much deserved for this terrific athlete who just received an offer from the Air force academy after the last time we featured him here on Prep Redzone. Nevada is very hot on Lewis as well as Wyoming, Darmouth, UTSA, and others.

<strong>Esteban Guillory</strong> (22) | 6-1 DB | Cornerstone Christian
This hard-hitting defensive back deserves plenty of offers. Guillory possess great size and is a hybrid defensive back/linebacker. He has the size and speed to play both positions very well. Has dangerous speed coming downhill that he can light up a ball carrier with, pursuit obviously there. He posses great awareness and I can’t speak enough on how special I think this player can be at the next level.
<strong>Anthony Evans </strong>(23) | 6-0 WR | Judson
Anthony has the jets and is a star on the gridiron and on the track & field team. He has blazing speed and can leave defenders in the dust. Just put him on a deep post or vertical route, throw up the ball and let him do the rest. This guy can ball there is no doubt about that. He will most likely be one of the highly recruited and some after receivers in his class and has already picked up plenty of interested from different universities. Houston and UTSA have already offered and many more are going to follow.

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="60778" first="Jack" last="Curtis"] </strong>(22) | 6-4 WDE / TE | Highland Park
Jack began to turn heads at the beginning of the year. He was super impressive out there on the field every time I saw him. You would think he would be a solid NO.1 outside receiver because of this guy’s size and super smooth route-running ability. I never would have guessed Jack plays defensive end and if I didn’t know him. He plays both sides of the ball well, but I like him the best on the offensive side of the ball because of his tremendous upside. This year, Jack has received 9 offers since the beginning of January. Offers include North Texas, Penn, Princeton, Lehigh, San Diego State, Air force, and Army. To name a few. Many more are interested and Jack should put on an impressive senior campaign.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="125227" first="Tanner" last="Murray"] </strong>(22) | 6-3 QB | Langham Creek
Tanner has been one of the top 2022 quarterbacks on the rise. Since the beginning of last month(March), Tanner has received 4 Division I offers. Houston Baptist, UTSA, San Diego State, and Marshall have all offered one of the top gunslingers in his class still uncommitted....for now.
<strong>Braylon Thomas</strong> (24) | 5-11 DB/ATH | West Columbia
Braylon is a young promising young DB / athlete and his recruitment has begun to take off year for himself. Braylon will definitely be a name and to follow for years to come He received his first D1 offer from UAB. Texas Tech, Liberty, Purdue, Princeton, and Houston have all shown interest.
