Hello high school football fans and coaches. This week we will be bringing you ranking news and updates as we are finalizing all of the prospects in Texas in the classes of 2022,2023 and 2024. Today we look at some of the best Quarterbacks not only in the state of Texas----but the nation as well. Some have moved up on the list and some are re-arranged. Here is a list of the top ten 2022 quarterbacks. We will be covering who moved up the most and who is new to the list. Enjoy!
[player_tooltip player_id="60687" first="Quinn" last="Ewers"] | 6-3 / 195 | QB | Southlake Carroll
[player_tooltip player_id="60687" first="Quinn" last="Ewers"] remains at the top spot of the class of 2022 quarterback in the state of Texas. It's no surprise the nation's NO.1 player in the country is at the top of the list. Ewers lead the dragons to a good playoff stretch last season and was very close to a chance to compete for a state title. I think Ewers should put on an impressive senior campaign. He recently announced his loyalty to Ohio State and head coach Ryan Day. He will most definitely be a buckeye in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id="60702" first="Conner" last="Weigman"] | 6-1 / 205 | QB | Bridgeland
This was a tough battle for the second-place spot between Conner and Westlake QB [player_tooltip player_id="60713" first="Cade" last="Klubnik"]. However, Conner was able to secure the 2nd place spot due to all factors considered. Factors being his skill-set, mechanics, stats, offers, etc. The aggies commit recently showcased his skills at the Elite 11 competition and put on a strong performance for everyone in attendance. Look for this QB to put a show at the next level for the aggies and should be able to compete for a starting spot very early on for them.

[player_tooltip player_id="60713" first="Cade" last="Klubnik"] | 6-2 / 180 | QB | Austin Westlake
Everyone was wondering where the raining state champion would choose to go to college after an impressive junior season. Would he stay here in the state? Would he sign with the longhorns and the new staff? Either way, Cade put up impressive numbers through the air and ground last season racking up over 3,495 yards passing, 35 touchdowns, and rushing for 583 yards with 15 rushing touchdowns. Pretty impressive to say the least. This outstanding QB chose the Clemson tigers over Florida, Penn State, Michigan, and the University of Texas, just to name a few.

[player_tooltip player_id="60751" first="Nick" last="Evers"] | 6-3 / 190 | QB | Flower Mound
[player_tooltip player_id="60751" first="Nick" last="Evers"] moved up very far on our list. He put on an impressive showing last season and earned national recognition. The Flower Mound QB has shown why he is among the elite with his impressive athleticism and throwing ability. Recently committed to the Florida Gators. Evers will play his college career for a very talented team and coaching staff in the swamp.
[player_tooltip player_id="60767" first="Garret" last="Rangel"] | 6-2 / 170 | QB | Frisco Lone Star
The Frisco Lone Star QB plays against some tough competition week in ad week out. He was consistently able to produce and put on an amazing Junior season. Committed to Oklahoma State, Rangel should be an impressive next season after being named Texas District 5-5A D-1 Offensive MVP as a junior, and lead Frisco Lone Star to a third-round playoff appearance.
[player_tooltip player_id="60721" first="Josh" last="Hoover"] | 6-2 / 205 | QB | Rockwall - Heath
Josh is an electric quarterback who can put the ball on the money every single time and has a rifle of an arm. It helps that he has superior talent surrounding him at Rockwall-Heath, like star receiver [player_tooltip player_id="131391" first="Jay" last="Fair"]. But Josh spreads the wealth over there and is able to put on an impressive performance on every outing. Experts think Josh will commit to the Arkansas Razorbacks, however Memphis, SMU and Tulsa are all hot on Hoover at the moment.
[player_tooltip player_id="125220" first="Alex" last="Orji"] | 6-3 / 210 | QB | Sachse
Alex is a natural big-arm quarterback who can make defenses pay through the air or on the ground. When I first saw Orji through in person I knew he was a big-time quarterback who deserved to be in the conversation of the top ten quarterbacks in the state of Texas. This 7-on-7 season he's put on an impressive performance every single time. He recently committed to the Virginia Tech Hokies on the 8th of April. Alex chose the Hokies over Baylor, Houston, Kansas, and Michigan to name a few.

[player_tooltip player_id="60716" first="Braedyn" last="Locke"] | 6-0 / 180 | QB | Rockwall
A little undersized for a prototypical quarterback. However, Braedyn is good as any QB on this list. He's got a rocket launcher of an arm and is very accurate. Securing his place in the top ten again this year.

[player_tooltip player_id="117920" first="Richard" last="Torres"] | 6-6 / 210 | QB | Southside
[player_tooltip player_id="117920" first="Richard" last="Torres"] is one QB who has had a huge rise on our list compared to last year because he wasn't even on it. The 6-6 QB was a huge hidden gem not discovered in till recently. He is a big-arm quarterback and can launch the ball deep downfield with ease and put on the money. No wonder he has been able to rack up offers from Nebraska, San Diego State, Tulsa, UNLV, and others.

[player_tooltip player_id="60809" first="Owen" last="McCown"] | 6-1 / 160 | QB | Rusk
Last but not least [player_tooltip player_id="60809" first="Owen" last="McCown"]. The Colorado Buffaloes commit QB can sling it. Owen also plays basketball and is a star on the gridiron and the court. On the court, Owen was named Texas 10-4A D-II first-team selection as a junior and helped Rusk to a playoff berth. This guy also has family ties. Talking NFL and collegiate. Father is Josh McCown former NFL QB who played for many different NFL franchises. Also, Uncle Luke McCown was also a former NFL quarterback. Not a bad pedigree of QBs in the family.
