2022 Prep RedZone Arkansas Five More Linebackers to Watch

The linebackers list for the class of 2022 is an impressive one for the state of Arkansas. One position grouping over the years that has continued to improve is the linebacker corps. We are going to take a look at some more of the linebackers that the state of Arkansas is producing. It is a group of linebackers that should not have a problem seeing the field on Saturdays in the future. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="123943" first="Mason" last="Dooly"]-Farmington</strong> Dooly is a linebacker that is always around the football for the Cardinals. He is a versatile player that has seen time at the center position as well. Dooly is an effort player that does a terrific job of pursing the ball carrier. He does a good job of dropping back into pass coverage and he will pick off passes. Dooly has the hands to pick off a pass and make a play on the defensive side of the ball. Dooly is an under the radar linebacker that will catch the attention of scouts will another impressive season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="127247" first="Ricardo" last="Gonzalez"]-Springdale</strong> Gonzalez is a quick player that uses his speed well to pursue the ball carrier. Gonzalez is a gritty player that will fight through the blocks to make the tackle. He can be a nightmare for the opposing offense to account because of his quickness. Gonzalez is an extremely disruptive player to the opposing offensive backfield. Gonzalez has also shown that he has the hands to pick off a pass and turn it into an explosive play. The Bulldogs have a talented player in the form of Gonzalez, and he is a player to keep an eye out for in 2021. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="96723" first="Brett" last="Williams"]-Magnet Cove</strong> Versatility is the name of the game for [player_tooltip player_id="96723" first="Brett" last="Williams"]. Williams plays both the running back and linebacker positions for Magnet Cove. On the defensive side of the ball, Williams does a great job of reading the play and being in the right spot to make the tackle. Williams is impressive when he drops back into coverage. He does a great job of reading the opposing quarterback’s eyes. The Magnet Cove coaching staff has done a terrific job of putting Williams in positions on the field where he can create an explosive play. Scouts should keep on Williams at both the linebacker and running back positions. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="120930" first="Breyndon" last="Tally"]-Bentonville West</strong> The Bentonville West Wolverines are one team that continues to produce talented players all over the field. [player_tooltip player_id="120930" first="Breyndon" last="Tally"] is a versatile player that has played the wide receiver, safety, and linebacker positions for the Wolverines. Tally plays with good speed and he always puts himself in a position to make the tackle. He is always around the ball carrier and has no problem making the tackle. Tally has an excellent chance to open some eyes this season, the young man has a tremendous amount of potential. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97472" first="Jyrin" last="Steward"]-El Dorado </strong> Steward is a linebacker that has a nose for the football. He is either looking to separate the ball from the ball carrier or he is looking to pick off the pass. One trait that is impressive is just how fast Steward is, he has excellent speed on the field. He does a great job of being able to time the snap count and get into the backfield. The opposing offensive line must find a way to account for Steward or he will live in the backfield. He is a secure tackler and can deliver a big when he lines the tackle up perfectly. Steward is a player to keep an eye on this season. He has tremendous potential to have an excellent season for El Dorado.
