Over the past few months, we have been able to examine numerous 2022 prospects. The defensive back class for the 2022 season is a talented group. What will stick out about this class the most is that it is incredibly deep. We are going to shine the spotlight on a few more players that deserving of catching some attention from scouts as well as fans.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="92901" first="Malachi" last="Cramer"]-Springdale Har-Ber </strong>
Cramer is a tenacious cover cornerback. He does a terrific job of playing the ball while it is in the air. Cramer plays with good speed and he is not afraid to get physical with opposing wide receivers. He will not shy away from contact and he does an impressive in bringing down bigger wide receivers. Cramer is a player to keep an eye on this season. He has plenty of potential to be an impact player on the defensive side of the ball as well as play on Saturdays in the fall.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="93895" first="Cain" last="Simmons"]-Benton</strong>
In 2020, the Benton Panthers’ safety had an incredibly productive season. He racked up 113 tackles and three interceptions on the season. Simmons displays good instincts, and he will watch the opposing quarterback’s eyes. What will stand out is he will step into the running lanes and fend off blocks and make the tackle. Simmons earned all-conference honors as a sophomore and is looking to continue to improve this upcoming season. He is a player to keep an eye on due to the tremendous amount of potential that he has.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="129395" first="Jecari" last="Lee"]-Warren</strong>
Over the years, the Warren Lumberjacks have become famous for sending talented players to play on Saturdays. Lee has been used primarily on the offensive side of the ball for the Lumberjacks. However, he has the talent to play on both sides of the ball. He has shown that he has consistent hands and that he knows how to high point the football. The Warren coaching staff does an impressive job of putting Lee in positions to make explosive plays. Lee is a player to keep an eye on this season on both sides of the ball.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="117318" first="Jaylon" last="White"]-Little Rock Parkview</strong>
One player that is starting to see his recruiting blow up is [player_tooltip player_id="117318" first="Jaylon" last="White"] out of Parkview High School. White has the talent to play all over the defense. However, he sees most of his time playing the safety position for Parkview. White is one of those safeties that does not mind laying a hit on the opposing wide receivers. White has numerous scholarship offers from schools such as Oklahoma State, Louisville, and Oregon State. The young man is going to continue to draw the interest power five schools and will be a player to keep an eye out for as National Signing Day approaches.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="93554" first="Aaron" last="Chism"]-Harding Academy</strong>
Chism does a terrific job of wrapping up the ball carrier. He has shown that he can play the ball in the air. Chism can be physical with wide receivers and does a good job of preventing the big play. A trait that will surprise opposing offenses is just how quick Chism is getting to the ball carrier. He does not waste motion and he is quick getting from point A to point B. He has the potential to play on Saturdays, simply because he is not afraid to hit opposing running backs and wide receiver.
