The quarterback prospects in the 2022 class are starting to explode on to the recruiting scene. In this article, we are going to look at six quarterback prospects that are starting to perform well in the prospect camps and spring practices. The talent is spread all over the state with the quarterback prospects. The class is flying under the radar going into 7-on-7 play and opportunity is there for each quarterback to build up momentum going into the 2021 season.

Hot Springs Lakeside has a quarterback that is starting to build momentum and really perform well. Over the past few weeks, [player_tooltip player_id="93533" first="Jordan" last="Mills"] has lit up the camp circuit. He has displayed a strong and accurate arm. Mills has the size at 6-4 and 210-pounds to catch the eyes of scouts watching him. He is a quarterback that is not afraid to scramble out of the pocket and pick up much needed yardage. Mills has the potential to have a big season and really make the scouts want to catch several games from the Lakeside Rams.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75091" first="Ckyler" last="Tengler"]-Searcy</strong>
The Searcy quarterback has had a busy spring semester. Playing basketball and baseball for the Lions has kept the Searcy signal caller busy this offseason. Tengler has a strong arm, and he does a great job of scanning the field and making the throws. During the course of his career, Tengler has thrown for 1,369 yards and 11 touchdowns. Tengler has rushed for two rushing touchdowns. Something that stands out about Tengler is that he keeps his eyes down the field and only takes off and runs as a last resort. The potential is there for Tengler to have an impressive 2021 season.

One quarterback that has made observers take a notice on the camp circuit is [player_tooltip player_id="106935" first="Stran" last="Smith"]. Smith has displayed impressive touch and a strong arm during the camp circuit. The Monticello signal caller gave scouts and fans a preview last season, on just how effective he could be. Smith threw for 1,209 yards and 14 touchdowns. He displayed a willingness to run the football as well last season. Smith rushed for 315 yards and tacked on two touchdowns on the ground. Smith is a quarterback to watch going into the 2021 season, he has the potential to really light up opposing defenses.

[player_tooltip player_id="94994" first="Cooper" last="Wilcox"] is another quarterback that has impressed in the offseason. The Greenbrier quarterback has put in the work in the weight room and that is transitioning well to the field. Wilcox performed well at the Elite-11 competition in Houston a few weeks ago. He graded out in the 87<sup>th</sup> percentile and displayed a strong and accurate arm in the process. Wilcox has the confidence to throw into some tight windows and he will not put his wide receivers in a tough situation. Wilcox is a player that has the talent to play on Saturdays and it will be interesting to watch his recruiting take off this summer.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75105" first="Bladen" last="Fike"]-Fayetteville</strong>
Fike has performed well all spring and he is positioning himself quite well for the 2021 season. Fike put in some great work at the National Football Team Combine in Frisco, TX a few weeks ago. Fike has the arm strength to make all of the throws. He has the accuracy to fit the ball into some tight windows and he has a receiving corps at Fayetteville that has the potential to be the states’ best. Fike is a quarterback that moves around in the pocket well enough to extend the play and get the ball to the open wide receiver. Scouts this summer and fall should make the trip to watch the Bulldogs, the offense will light it up this year.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="93558" first="Drew" last="Wright"]-Bentonville</strong>
The Bentonville quarterback is another two-sport athlete that has had a busy spring. Wright plays baseball for the Bentonville Tigers as well as holding down his duties at the quarterback position. Wright has the arm strength to make any throw look easy. He does a terrific job of extending the play and keeping his eyes downfield. However, Wright is not afraid to scramble for yardage and make a play with his legs. Much like Fike at Fayetteville, Wright has solid skill position guys in which to distribute the football to. Making the trip to Northwest Arkansas will be worth it to scouts to be able examine quarterbacks such as Wright.
