As Colorado’s C-Season football participants prepare for week two of spring football, we want to use this time to take a look at some of the top performances of a few quarterbacks and their top receiving targets. The Academy (1-0) The Wildcats won their season opener with 2023 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="22786" first="Isaiah" last="Eliot"] at the helm. Eliot completed 16 of his 23 passing attempts for 213 yards and two touchdowns. He also carried the ball 23 times for 61 yards. 2021 wide receiver Gabriel Espinosa was his team’s leading receiver, finishing the contest with eight receptions for 120 yards. The Wildcats will be taking on Denver West in a conference matchup on Friday. Basalt (1-0) 2021 quarterback Matty Gillis was one completion shy of having a perfect passing game in last Saturday’s win. Gillis had six completions out of his seven attempts that went for 109 yards and three touchdowns. He also had five carries for 30 yards and one rushing touchdown. 2021 wide receiver Ruble Alvarado had four receptions for 84 yards and three touchdowns.
