<strong>CO-OVERALL MVP</strong>-[player_tooltip player_id="28846" first="Cole" last="Prusia"] ATH Tualatin 22’- This kid has been ridiculous. Probably the leading candidate for 6A POY accolades as of right now. Prusia totaled another 150 yards on offense with 3 TDs on the night. On defense he had an INT return for a TD, and 3 pass break ups. All of this came in the first half, with the T-Wolves blasting Oregon City 43-13.
<strong>CO-OVERALL MVP</strong>- [player_tooltip player_id="28723" first="Andrew" last="Simpson"] ATH Mountainside 21’- Much like [player_tooltip player_id="28846" first="Cole" last="Prusia"], Simpson is a potential Oregon 6A POY candidate on both sides of the football. He has had an unreal season thus far, catching 6 passes for 133 yards and 2 more TDs, with another 2 INTs on defense. The Mavericks lost a close one in OT to league foe Jesuit 20-14.
<strong>Tyler Mead</strong> RB Canby 21’- Coach Joyce spoke highly of Mead prior to the season and he showed why on Friday, accounting for 6 TDs on 17 carries for 207 yards. He had a 35-yard reception and 77 INT return for a TD, as part of his 6 touchdowns, in the #7 Cougars 42-27 win over #8 Scappoose.
[player_tooltip player_id="28785" first="Isaiah" last="Rickard"] DB/ATH Franklin 21’- One of the big reasons the Quakers are (4-0) is because of Rickard. His 2 INTs on D and 2 touchdown receptions on offense were crucial, in the teams 23-8 win over Roosevelt.
[player_tooltip player_id="28775" first="Owen" last="Hawley"] WR Newberg 21’- Hawley has been one of Oregon’s breakout performers state wide, adding another 143 receiving yards and 2 TD’s in the Tigers 56-9 pasting over McMinnville.
[player_tooltip player_id="108144" first="Caleb" last="Kim"] RB Sunset 22’ - The junior is definitely in the conversation if we are referencing Metro League Offensive POY candidates. He had another monster night carrying the ball 17 times for 231 yards and 2 TDs, in the 63-31 win over Beaverton
<strong>Jay Keuter</strong> QB Beaverton 22’ - It’s been a tough year for Beaverton thus far, but Keuter had a breakout performance, going 25/38, with 2 TDs & 2INTs in the Beavers 63-31 loss to #3 Sunset
<strong>Jack Brown</strong> LB Central Catholic 21’- One of the more underrated players in Oregon. Brown is just a baller. On the night he made 5 tackles while recording 4 sacks and a forced fumble, in the teams 35-21 win over Grant.
[player_tooltip player_id="110242" first="Ryan" last="Oliver"] QB Lakeridge 23’- As of right now Oliver might be Oregon’s Sophomore of the year. He passed for another 316 yards and 5 TDs in the teams 34-17 win over traditional state power Tigard.
[player_tooltip player_id="28888" first="Michael" last="Rincon"] RB Jesuit 22’- Rincon has quietly put together an outstanding season, carrying the ball 30 times for 222 yards and 2 TDs, in a much needed 20-14 OT win over one of Oregon’s best in Mountainside.
<strong>Jack Nehler</strong> LB Gresham 21’- Very few people know about Nehler as the Gophers are far from a state power, but he has had a phenomenal season. His 19 tackles (13 solo) were a highlight in the 28-0 loss to Barlow.
[player_tooltip player_id="28757" first="Miles" last="Wilson"] RB Reynolds 21’- One of Oregon’s most underrated players. He will go down as one of the best to ever play at RHS. On the night he rushed for 204 yards and 3 TDs in the 43-32 win over Sandy.
[player_tooltip player_id="28767" first="Nate" last="Garcia"] RB West Salem 21’ - The Titans are undefeated and have one of the more legit senior groups to come through the school in some time. The 2nd team all-league returner rushed for 240 yards and 2 TDs in the 28-20 win over McNary.
<strong>Dante Haven</strong> WR Grants Pass 21’ - Give Western Oregon a lot of credit for landing kids like this. Haven caught 8 passes for 204 Yards and 3 TDs, in the teams 56-55 loss to South Medford in 3 OT’s.
<strong>Josiah Davis</strong> RB N.Salem 23’- The Vikings football program has struggled over the years but that could be changing with the likes of Davis and freshman phenom TC Manumaleuna. The Sophomore RB scored 5 TDs with a reception and a kick return for a TD as well, in the 41-30 win over South Salem.
<strong>Justius Lowe</strong> RB/WR Lincoln 22’- A converted WR Lowe averaged over 20 yards per carry on the night, carrying 7 times for 151 yards and 2 TDs in the 33-0 win over Cleveland.
<strong>Landon Sherman</strong> LB Mountainside 21’ - The all-conference returner had an outstanding night, making 12 tackles in what ended up being one of the best games state wide, with the 20-14 loss to Jesuit in OT.
