Lucky for the Bulldogs, they will be returning plenty of starters next season, and will look to return to a place of dominance, and good football as well. On both sides of the roster, Thomasville is loaded with a combination of young, and old talent. This should certainly catch the eyes of college coaches. Going into next season, it will be exciting to see if they can put all of this talent together, and make a potential run.
Ty Anderson- MLB
Anderson, who is one of the top LB’s in the state for his class, has been receiving plenty of offers from Power 5 programs. The reason behind this is due to his natural ability to play the MLB position at a high level. Not only does he play with great leverage and bend, but he also has the explosiveness and pop upon contact that you like to see out of a MLB. Anderson’s fluid movement skills, and ability to rip through blocks with his hands already make him a stud at his position, and sets him up for big time tackles and stops. With this, Anderson also plays with a good awareness of the game, and has decent ball skills as well, which contributes largely to his team’s success when covering the pass. Moving forward, we want to see him continue to work on his ability to change direction, and move laterally. This can certainly help take his game to the next level.
Shannen White- QB
Entering into next season, White is not only expected to be the QB, but he is expected to play at a very high level. Not only does he get the ball out quick, but has has great mobility skills, which allows him to escape the pocket, and open up plays with his legs. This keeps DB’s off balance, and it also puts him in place to make big gains on the ground as well. As a passer, White has inconsistencies with ball placement and accuracy at times, but this ability is certainly there. He has decent velocity, and an okay release, but we would like to see him work on his overall mechanics. Overall, he has a decently strong arm, and has the ability to push the ball down the field with deep routes. Even then, we would like to see him progress more in the short, and intermediate passing game. Regardless, White’s arm is certainly good enough to win games, and his burst, and explosive ability makes him a fun player to watch.
Ricky Fulton Ricky Fulton 5'7" | 170 lbs | RB Thomasville | 2023 State GA – RB
Ricky Fulton Ricky Fulton 5'7" | 170 lbs | RB Thomasville | 2023 State GA has a decent ceiling as a RB due to his ability to keep his legs moving upon contact, and to pick up gains regardless of how small, or tight a running lane may be. He does a solid job of finding creases when running through the line, and he also does an amazing job of turning the corner and allowing his burst and explosion to carry him to the end zone. Fulton also does a good job of running strong, with a good high knee drive, and solid balance, making it hard for defenders to bring him to the ground. Because of this, he will likely turn into a great RB prospect for his class, and we can easily see him returning next year and becoming one of the instrumental keys to his team’s success.
Joseph Williams- CB
Joseph Williams has a great bit of talent to his game, but he also has a ton to learn as well. Not only does he play instinctive football, but he runs around well, with flashes of fluidity in his hips, feet and decent overall movement. While he plays a bit lost in space at times, Williams also has good ball skills, and does a solid job of high pointing the football, and creating turnovers as well. With this, Williams also has great burst, and speed, which helps him a ton when playing on the outside. While he is also not afraid to come up and make contact, we would like to see him work on his form tackling, and angles a bit more. If he can manage to improve in each of these areas, and practice more disciplined movement, he can turn into one heck of a football player.
