Northeast Ohio’s Federal League – Green and Jackson Standouts

Over the next few weeks, Coach Bill Conley and I, will preview the best conferences and players within them.  Featured below are the best 2022 players from Northeast Ohio’s Federal League. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Green</strong></span> <strong>CJ Dawson</strong> - OL - 6’4 285 - CJ is a very talented and athletic LT.  He is very flexible in his stance and has great run and pass blocking posture.  Comes off the ball low and hard in the run game and blocks with a violent punch and leverage.  He gets up into defenders and finishes with the feet.  Great pass blocker with patients and square shoulders.  Uses his long arms with great timing.  Finishes oncoming rushers routinely only a few yards from the LOS.  Can’t wait for his Senior year. HUDL: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11563058/CJ-Dawson <b> Jack Schaal</b> - OLB - 6’1 175 - Extremely talented multi-faceted football player.  Great instincts and tremendous tenacity in his tackles.  He reads plays really well and moves with good patience in the run game.  His pass drops are technically sound and he covers much ground quickly.  Most impressive part of this game is his ability to blitz; very good timing and rushes the passer like a seasoned DE. HUDL: https://www.hudl.com/profile/12941661/Jack-Arlen-Will-Schaal <strong>Trey Martin</strong> - WR - 6’1 190 - Trey’s film is very good.  He is one of the best WR’s in Northeast Ohio.  He bursts off the snap and is athletic enough to make every route look the same in the initial first three steps.  He runs really good deep routes and routinely gets on top of CB’s.  He is very adept at finding the open seams in zone coverage and can shake off man.  He runs really crisp screen routes and is always a threat to score. HUDL: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11562970/Trey-Martin <strong>Trevor Van Horn</strong> - QB - 6’3 205 - Trevor is really talented QB with great size and arm strength.  Commands the spread offense with authority.  He spreads the ball around to his plentiful weapons.  Has nice accuracy down the field on deep throws.  He has good touch on short and intermediate routes.  His arm strength allows him to make throws from the hashes deep to the opposite sideline.  Very athletic runner who is good in open field at evading tacklers. HUDL: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11566804/Trevor-Van-Horn <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Massillon Jackson</strong></span> <strong>Xavier Gray</strong> - T/DT - 6’9 310 - Xavier is all of 6’9 and weighs in at a muscular 310.  He is a force at DT and comes of the ball low and hard with violent use of his hands.  Has great block destruction and escapes blocks with proper gap leverage.  Plays LT on offense and dominates the competition.  He has good pass posture and keeps defenders at bay with his long arms.  Looking forward to watching him in 2021. HUDL: https://www.hudl.com/profile/4492193/Xavior-Gray <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="34428" first="Hunter" last="Geissinger"]</strong> - QB - 6’5 185 - Hunter has a big time arm.  He can make all the throws and is really accurate down the field.  I am impressed with his mechanics from multiple launch points.  He keeps his eyes down field and always goes through his progressions.  Can throw on the run and when he pulls it down is really athletic.  Excited to see his progress next season. HUDL: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11572138/Hunter-Geissinger <strong>Brenden Craig</strong> - RB - 5'6 150 - Lightning fast with wiggle.  Play three of his film he gets the ball and runs from sideline to sideline and scores.  He is lightning quick with burst in between the tackles.  Gets to the edge very quickly and accelerates past defenders in the open field.  He can catch the ball from the backfield and can play slot as well.  Brenden is the kind of player who can score every time he touches the ball.
