<p class="p1"><span style="font-size: 1rem; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">It has been a long wait but the season is back and it starts off with a big time game. Junipero Serra, (Gardena) vs Long Beach Poly. Two power house teams, who both produce many</span> <span style="font-size: 1rem; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">NFL talents. Long Beach Poly is known for having the most NFL players from a high school.</span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s2">Long Beach Poly has took over the Moore League and they finished the season last year 6-0 in the Moore League. The game will be broadcasted on Fox Sports Prep Zone. Poly has three committed players coming back for their senior year. [player_tooltip player_id="25162" first="Bryun" last="Parham"], (San Jose State) Keyontae Lanier, (New Mexico) and [player_tooltip player_id="25210" first="Jacob" last="Tuioti"] (Army). </span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s2">The biggest news for Serra is [player_tooltip player_id="25054" first="Devin" last="Kirkwood"] opting out to enroll into UCLA early. They finished last in the Mission League only with a win against Alemany. Losing Lavon Bunkley, doesn’t make any job easier for the Cavaliers, but they do still have weapons for the five star QB. </span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s2">[player_tooltip player_id="25228" first="Maalik" last="Murphy"] the 5 star QB who is verbally committed to Texas, this guy is leaps and bounds ahead of any of the other Q’s in So Cal. He is much more knowledgeable than really anyone else in the country, let alone California. His co. stars such as Elijah Davis, a sr, RB who is looking for a big season. [player_tooltip player_id="25207" first="Tyray" last="Odell"], Lando Brown and [player_tooltip player_id="25205" first="Brody" last="McKinnon"] make a dangerous Serra team, they also had some transfer players as well. They had a 6-5 record ending the 2019-2020 season. </span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s2">[player_tooltip player_id="25344" first="Shea" last="Kuykendall"] a jr. QB is looking to have a standout jr. year. Some of the big time DB’s are Torion White, Anthony Curtis, Travis Davis, Donovan Turner, Jalen Duncan. The biggest star is Daylen Austin who is only a sophomore with four PAC12 offers. [player_tooltip player_id="25162" first="Bryun" last="Parham"] (2021), Donovan Poe (2022), Ikenasio Mikaele (2023) and Jalen Johnson will lead the LB’s. The Moe brothers who transferred from J Serra Catholic, should have a major role on offense and defense. Michael Fesili has been a three year starter and should make a big impact protecting [player_tooltip player_id="25344" first="Shea" last="Kuykendall"]. Running backs, Devin Sample and Jaden Bridges will share duties. Keyontae Lanier, Kyren Racheal, Jordan Riles and Nasir Mcgee are all prolific WR’s. </span></p>
<p class="p2"><span class="s2">Both of these teams have been a top program for a long time and they both produce a massive amount of D1 athletes and professional. This should be a battle of the century. Poly looks to take avenge of their defeat last season to Serra. 27-24. Football is back in Southern California! </span></p>
