Today we highlight some of the top defensive stars from this past weekend's Pylon event in Houston. As many of you already know. The amount of talent on the field was tremendous. We do our best to try to cover every player and not just the big-time names that have a few stars behind their name. We highlight good players on and off the field. We like good character men and players that can get it done on the field. Here is a list of players to keep an eye out for this 7-on-7 season. [player_tooltip player_id="60741" first="Julian" last="Humphrey"] (22) | 6-1 CB | Clear Lake Julian was lockdown the whole tournament. This 4-star cornerback showed why he is one of the most highly rated corners still uncommitted from the class of 2022. That will change in the foreseeable future as his commitment date is scheduled for the first of April. Watch below as he revealed his top ten. https://twitter.com/JulianH2022/status/1361391248569991170 [player_tooltip player_id="60704" first="Bryce" last="Anderson"] (22) | 6-0 S | West Brook Bryce was in attendance as well and had released his top five that weekend. Who made the list? Well, LSU, Michigan, Texas, Texas A&M, and USC. Bryce impressed many with his performance and caught the eye of all media and fans at the pylon tournament in Houston. Bryce read plays very well and was flying all over the field making plays. https://twitter.com/BryceAnderson_1/status/1365732722442960898 DeJuan Lewis (22) | 5-11 DB | Pearland DeJuan had 66 tackles and 4 interceptions his junior year. How this guy is not any many recruiting boards is mind-boggling to me. Big-time sleeper. Line him up in the box and he’ll come down hard and make a play in the backfield for a TFL. Pass coverage is great. He reads the quarterback's eyes and keeps awareness of the entire field to be able to make a play on a ball by either by swatting it down or intercepting it. Good speed, a great burst of acceleration. Offers are on the way for this young man. He’s too good of a defender not to be up there with some of the best on this list. https://twitter.com/Itsthatboyjuan/status/1366409899253649409 [player_tooltip player_id="60749" first="Dylan" last="Dixson"] (22) |6-2 LB | Pearland This Colorado commit has a big stature and was making plays for his team on the defensive side of the ball tournament long. Earning him the defensive MVP. Dylan committed last month and chose Colorado over others like Arizona State, Florida State Houston, and others. https://twitter.com/NickHarris247/status/1366088577260654600 Zion Taylor (24) | 6-2 WDE/OLB | Ridge Point HS Zion is one of the best defensive linemen in his class of the state. He currently holds offers to Colorado, Michigan State, and much more interested. He helped his team to a championship at the tournament and was lights out. Zion will be another one of those players that will be able to pick anywhere in the country he would like to go. One of the best defensive ends in his class, if not the best. Extremely athletic, he has a long wingspan. Shoots out like a cannonball out of his stance. Keeps good leverage and has elite speed, and hand moves of the edge. He can beat blockers with his speed or his Jacky Chan fast hands. In all seriousness, his arsenal of hand moves are endless and effective--he's a beast. [player_tooltip player_id="60715" first="Jordan" last="Crook"] (22) | 6-0 LB | Duncanville Jordan, one of the best linebackers at the tournament. Showed his elite athleticism and size at the tournament. He reads plays well, plays great against the pass, and was there to break up a lot of passes. He brings that spark to the defense. He is a relentless defender. He shows great pursuit and has good speed for his size. Jordan should be strong for Duncanville next year and should be one of the leaders on defense. He holds offers to Baylor, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma state, and plenty of others. 27 total, Jordan could play anywhere in the country he wanted to. https://twitter.com/LoboRecruits/status/1366121921822289928 Chance Biddle (22) | 6-0 DB | Garland One of the best safeties in the state one of the best football teams in Garland, which is loaded with Division I talent. Experts think Chance will choose Oklahoma and the Sooners to join his teammate and star receiver [player_tooltip player_id="60708" first="Jordan" last="Hudson"]. If he does he will choose them over some big-time names like Michigan and the Alabama crimson tide. https://twitter.com/d1chace/status/1318328370325749761 Kedrick Reescano (23) | 5-11 RB/DB | New Caney Kedrick continues to impress with his size and athleticism. He has a long athletic build and is very lean. I've liked him a lot on the defensive side of the ball because he has almost been shut down when covering opponents. He swarms to the ball and is all over receivers to knock out the ball or disrupt the pass. Recently received his first offer from Oklahoma State and many more are interested when I caught up with Kedrick. Coaches don't be the last ones to the party. https://twitter.com/LoboRecruits/status/1366091335980171264 Corey Kelley (23) | 6-4 LB | Clear Lake A very big linebacker with plenty of athleticism and plenty of skill. This young guy has very impressive tape and looked the part at the tournament. Turning heads at the tournament. https://twitter.com/LoboRecruits/status/1365763284318777354 Adari Haulcy (22) |6-0 DB | Fort Bend Marshall Holds offers to Incarnate word, Kansas and Southeastern Louisiana. One of the most underrated DBs on this list. Adair has a long wingspan that hangs below his knees when he is in a football position guarding a receiver at the line of scrimmage. He can hang and trail with the fastest of receivers, he does a great job of turning his head around and tracking the ball. He can rack up a bunch of INT’s or pass deflections for you and he's lockdown. https://twitter.com/CoachJames44/status/1367220932608208897 [player_tooltip player_id="60891" first="Jacoby" last="Davis"] (23) | 6-0 DB | North Shore Jacoby, a highly recruited DB out of North Shore. He is a little below average height but he has a lean build and is very -very physical at the line of scrimmage and can throw receivers off route. He doesn’t let those receivers get to him, his vertical and physicality make him for his height. He is an island. One to watch at these tournaments. Jacoby holds offers to Michigan, Auburn, Baylor and Kansas. Jarred Kerr (22) | 6-0 ATH | Lexington Definitely one of the best on this list and the best in his class in the entire state of Texas. He has a total of 18 division I offers but lately has had heavy interest from OU, Baylor, Texas, Florida, and more. Let's see if Coach Sark can keep this young DB in Texas and have him follow a few other of his peers. [player_tooltip player_id="60808" first="Jaidan" last="Scott"] (22) | 5-10 DB | Shadow Creek Big-time prospect and the spotlight was o him all tournament long. I liked his speed and his ability to fly to the ball and make plays. Holds offers from Arizona State, Cincinnati, Kansas, Kansas State and others. [player_tooltip player_id="60801" first="Eric" last="Hemphill"] (22) | 5-10.5 DB | Brenham Division, I prospect that was making plays at the tournament. I liked his competitive nature and aggressiveness watching him play. You like to see defensive guys take pride in stopping the offense and not giving up anything. Illinois State. Kansas and Memphis Santana Wilson (23) | 5-10 DB | Hightower Santana is a big-time hitter and plays against the pass very well when watching his film. His speed and agility are very good and he does a good job getting out of his hipds and trailing receivers. His speed is dangerous and he uses his force to come downhill and lay the lumber on ball carriers. I like that he goes for the ball and tries to cause a fumble whenever he sees an opening. He is a very athletic DB with a good vertical, speed, and ability to cover the pass and run very well. Also is a very good student of the field and is working very hard to improve his game. Coaches, keep an eye on this guy. https://twitter.com/santanawilson_/status/1352487046821122048
