Grabbing the Spotlight Brady Porter Defensive Line Rogers
Over the past few years, the Rogers Mounties have made the playoffs on a consistent basis. The Mounties have also seen a talented roster start to take shape. Brady Porter has something that defensive coaches love to see and that is versatility. We are going to take a look at the positions Porter plays as well as find out how Porter is working to improve this offseason.
The Rogers Mounties have several players to look out for on the defensive side of the ball and one of those players that we are going to focus on today is defensive lineman Brady Porter. Porter is an extremely versatile player that gives the Mounties a player to move around the defensive front seven. Porter has very good speed and he is a disruptive player that can live in the offensive backfield.
Porter is focused on personal goals for the offseason as well as team goals. Both will help the Mounties to continue to improve and make the steps needed for a deep playoff run. Porter is working on improving his strength this offseason. He will be seeing team at both the linebacker and defensive end spots this season. Improving his strength will allow Porter to fend off the blocks of the opposing offensive linemen. Meanwhile, from a team perspective the Mounties are wanting to make the playoffs but take that next step in the playoffs. Rogers wants to advance in the playoffs and take steps toward making it to War Memorial Stadium.
From a recruiting perspective, Porter is starting to get his name out there and catch the eyes of scouts with his solid play on the defensive side of the ball. Drake University has already expressed interested in the talented defensive lineman from Rogers. Porter is planning on attending several camps during the offseason and continuing to improve his strength to mix with his exceptional quickness on the defensive side of the ball. Porter is a talented individual, who has the potential to really take off from a recruiting perspective this offseason and continue the momentum this season.
