Out of the hundreds that send their respective films. I was able to narrow down the list to around 40 players that I will feature all this week. First up we take a look at the big guys up front who fight every down in the trenches. Here are some nasty blockers on the offensive line to guys who can get after the quarterback and wreak havoc in the backfield.
Ramir McCray Ramir McCray 5'10" | 195 lbs | LB Klein Oak | 2022 State TX (22) | 6-0 OLB/ DE | Klein Cain
I got Ramir listed as a linebacker but I am just going to go ahead and list him twice. This guy is a beast. That phrase built different, perfectly describes Ramir because this dude is built like a full-grown man. Beefed up, you can tell he spends hours putting in the work and effort. As a pass rusher, this guy is phenomenal. He’s severely underrated because of his height but don’t let that fool you, ladies and gentlemen. The spin move is just one of the deadly moves Ramir has in his arsenal to beat blockers. He has a dangerous burst off the ball and can be in the backfield in the blink of an eye. Ramir could also bull rush the passer and probably pick up a 350 pounder of the ground like nothing. Great defender, who can get it done on the field. 70 tackles last year and 3 sacks, not to mention the countless quarterback hurries and TFLs he racked up.
5’11 210 Linebacker I can play in the box or outside and edger rush and get to the QB. I can cover Wr,TE, and RB. Bench 315 and squatting over 500. Been a Varsity Track guy since freshman year. Physical, Hard hitting player. Student of the game.@samspiegs pic.twitter.com/B3JQg4nA56

Camron Cooper Camron Cooper 6'3" | 235 lbs | DL Dayton | 2022 State TX (22) | 6-3 DE | Dayton (TX)
Camron has a tall lengthy, athletic frame that almost makes him look bigger than 6-3 on the field. He is athletic enough and has the speed to make an impact on both sides of the ball as he plays tight end as well. Coming off the edge, Camron is sneaky fast and can get skinny to squeeze by blockers to make a play in the backfield in the blink of an eye. Most of the time Camron beats blockers by his speed and burst of the line of scrimmage. He has the ability to make backside tackles and rack up plenty of sacks or tackles for loss in the backfield. As good as any pass rusher with a few stars by their names.
Maddox Epperson (22) | 6-2 OL | Aledo (TX)
Plays for the defending state champions and faced some pretty tough competition during the season last year. Going up a division I recruits, Maddox consistently showed he could not only hold his own but dominate. This O-linemen shows he can be very versatile on the line and play different positions. They played him at guard and tackle during the season. He has the speed and athleticism enough to pull around the edge or make it to the second level and pick up some blocks. His technique is almost flawless. He keeps a low center of gravity, wide base, and can drive blocks to the ground or out of the stadium. He has a devastating punch and an impressive wingspan, as he is able to almost bench press defenders lesser defenders to keep them at bay.
Jay Simmons (23) | 6-2 DE | San Marcos (TX)
Jay is a big-time sleeper. An edge rusher that can put his hand in the dirt or stand up and just get after the quarterback. Make no mistake he plays against the run just as well as he can get to the QB. His hand moves and spin moves are just a few moves Jay uses to his advantage to consistently beat blockers and wreak havoc in the backfield.
Matt Colvin Matt Colvin 6'3" | 275 lbs | OL Clarksville | 2023 State AR (23) | 6-2 OL | Clarksville (AR)
Nasty blocker, who takes no prisoners. This guy will bulldoze people over with his sheer size and athleticism. This O-linemen also has a devastating punch and can drive people into the ground with his strength. He shows he can pull and get around the edge to trap block and even can get to the next level at the linebackers or secondary. This big fella can move and move the whole pile along with him. Terrific prospect for the offensive line that can play multiple positions.
Dorian Gates (22) | 6-5 DE | Klein Oaks (TX)
Dorian obviously has great size for a defensive end at 6-5 and an impressive wingspan. He is able to his size and speed to beat blockers off the edge. He has a terrific first step and maintains good leverage throughout the entire play. The type of player offensive line coaches game plan around to stop eliminate Dorian’s presence in the backfield but sometimes he simply overpowers his man or flys right by them. Terrific purist and shows a high motor getting after the QB or ball carrier.
Will Moss Will Moss 6'4" | 295 lbs | OL Dewitt | 2023 State AR (23) | 6-4 OL | De Witt (AR)
This guy is a nasty blocker and trusts me I do not use that phrase lightly or just say it just to say it. The film never lies. If you watch you will see linemen who almost is built like a Richie Incognito. I mean this guy is massive and built. He can pull too, get around and kick out the d-end. This big guy showed he can even block out in space. Every time he washes down on defensive linemen he just completely levels them. It was a joy watching his film. FBS type of prospect who holds offers to Kansas already.
Bryson Jordan (22) | 6-3 DL | West Orange (TX)
A very raw but talented defensive end Bryson is. He can play multiple positions along the defensive line and can be used when you want a little more speed on the field. Bryson brings just that, speed. He can burst out of his stance like a runner at a track meet and is in the backfield before the offensive linemen can even lookup. He has some room to add a little extra mass and be a bit leaner but Bryson has terrific frame potential being almost 6-4.
Wills Gullic Wills Gullic 6'6" | 305 lbs | OL Blytheville | 2023 State AR (23) | 6-6 OL | Blytheville (AR)
Wills run blocking footwork is excellent and can drive defenders with ease with his big frame. He easily manhandles lesser defenders. At 6-6, Gullic is already an intimidating force on the offensive line, and his playbacks it up. His pass protection footwork needs a bit of work but other than that, terrific FBS type of prospect.
Enyce Sledge (22) | 6-4 DT | Neville (LA)
For a Nose tackle at 305, Enyce can plug up the defensive line and move well for his size. He fills his gaps well and is also able to bull rush his way into the offensive backfield. He can handle double teams and find his way into the backfield with ease.
Jacob Johnson (23) | 6-2 OL/ DL | Catholic High of Baton Rouge (LA)
Jacob and his brother Joshua are twins and they will be two beasts to remember for the next couple of years for Catholic High. One of the best high schools in the state of Louisiana with loads of Division I talent. Irion sharpens iron so look for these two to be well ready to go for this coming up season. On tape Jacob can pass block very well and once he engages a defender, no way he’s letting go. Run blocking, Id like to see him get a little bit more active with his footwork but the talent is there.
Joshua Johnson (23) | 6-1 DL / OL | Catholic High of Baton Rouge (LA)
Across the other side of the ball on defense. Joshua lines up and can plug up the line with his size and strength. He plays against the run well and can get to the ball carrier. Look for him to make a splash next season.
