We had some very exciting quarterback play at the Dallas Pylon tournament. These 7-on-7 events are great for players to showcase their skills before the media and all the fans in attendance. You could say it’s where some "under-the-radar" players rise to the spotlight. Below will be some QBs that put on a show and played extremely well and are very much on their way to earning some college scholarships as they gain more exposure attending these events which are a great way to market yourself--if you play well.
JC Evans (24) | 6-4 QB | Brandeis | FVII
JC is always very impressive when he takes the field. Such a talented quarterback for being so young. His size, maturity, and play on the field are advanced for his age. I love his command on the field and ability to deliver a nice catchable pass. He shows great touch on all of his passes. Footwork is excellent and he can rifle one into the end-zone or split coverage. Very special QB for years to come. Always impressive at these tournaments.

David Hopkins Jr. (22) | 6-2 QB | Summit | TDG
Great QB who was making his presence felt all tournament long. David can throw the ball from different dexterities and off-balance and still deliver strikes too. He’s a big-time playmaker that finds receivers in the end-zone at will. It doesn’t matter how the ball comes out or the spiral he puts on it he consistently finds open receivers and can throw bombs down the field as well. Great QB who has the size and talent to be an FBS / FCS level of a prospect and produce.

Parker Leise (23) | 6-2 QB | Shawnee Mission East | Epic 7 Midwest
Parker had a very impressive outing in Dallas. Great QB with proper mechanics and footwork with a rocket launcher of an arm. I loved this guy’s ability to throw a dangerous deep ball with nice touch on it. He was torching defenses through the air all tournament long.
[player_tooltip player_id="121942" first="Austin" last="Novosad"] (23) | 6-3 QB | Dripping Springs | Juice 7v7
Austin is a very impressive QB. He trains with the best and you can see all the hard works he puts in-- translate on the field. The juice team was stacked with talent and Austin was one of the most known talented QBs to be out on the field competing.

[player_tooltip player_id="60727" first="Cardell" last="Williams"] (22) | 6-3 QB | Westfield | Jixers
Cardell brought the juice to the field and was lighting the scoreboard up. Very impressive arm and throwing ability. Seems very athletic, he was buying time with his legs to find open receivers. Throws well on the run. Holds a few division ones offers but many more are interested. Great QB with good character.

[player_tooltip player_id="60795" first="Caleb" last="Heavner"] (22) | 6-2 QB | Denison | C4 Texoma
This was a QB that could launch the ball 50 plus yards and put it right on the money for receivers beautiful. I loved his mechanics and ability to take command of the field.
[player_tooltip player_id="121947" first="Mason" last="Shorb"] (23) | 6-2 QB | Rouse | Juice
Another impressive QB for team Juice. Mason was launching bombs all tournament long. I loved his deep ball arm strength and his footwork in the pocket was beautifully synchronized with his throwing motion. Great QB prospect who has FBS-level talent.

Austin Myers (22) | 6-4 QB | Vilonia | Triple J
Very impressive QB all tournament long. Lead his team to many close wins and was a great leader out there in the field. Strongarm and he can rifle passes into receivers with ease. He’s got pinpoint accuracy and I love his delivery. Size doesn’t hurt either at 6-4 he’s got everything coaches are looking at relative to that position.

Cole LaCrue (23) | 6-2 QB | Broomfield (CO) | Performance Empire
As our scouting director noted below, Jacob Lemming. Cole can make all of the throws and he’s a great quarterback. He didn’t have much-recruiting attention then but now he’s on the radar and many will be interested in this great QB who put on a show in Dallas.

Brendan Sorsby (22) | 6-3 QB | Lake Dallas | 940 Elite
Brendan was very impressive at the tournament leading his team to many victories and owning the field. He can show flashes of velocity and can put deep throws down the middle of the field on a rope. He moves well in the pocket and can deliver deep passes on the move. Huge sleeper of a QB but most definitely FBS/FCS level talent. The film doesn’t lie.
Christian Dorsey (22)| 6-3 QB | Hitchcock | South Texas Elite
I was very impressed by Christian’s arm strength. He can split defenders and find an open receiver with ease. Good mechanics and has the ability to make the big plays happen through the air. I loved his mechanics, very talented quarterback and his size at 6-3 is what you’d like to see at the position. He’s still got some room to grow and improve but overall great QB.

Honorable Mentions
Landry Stamps (24) | 6-1 QB | Fort Worth Christian | Showtime performance
This is a young QB who works beautifully in the pocket. I love his drop-back and timing on throws. He can put a nice beautiful ball in the air and doesn’t necessarily have to rifle one in, he drops back, floats one up, and puts it only where his receiver can catch it. Coaches definitely a QB to keep an eye on.
Karson Gordon (24) | 6-1 QB | Ridge Point | CAT TAKEOVER
Emile Picarella (25) | 6-2 QB | St Joseph Catholic | Devoted Dreamers
