The rankings have been out for a while now, and there are some RB's who caught my eye. Questions will always spark up when the rankings come out, so here is a detailed breakdown of the top 5 RB's in Oregon from the 2022 class on why they're at the top:

Tuski ran for 1,206 yards and 21 TD’s as a sophomore. He is built with an athletic frame and a strong lower half. He shows solid vision and brings excellent physicality at the point of contact. He does a great job keeping his legs driving and keeping momentum forward to finish runs and pick up extra chunk of yards. He displays good balance to be able to break or bounce off tacklers. He was very effective in the screen game as a sophomore, and flashed solid second level speed to finish off long runs for a TD.

Film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11406899/Bryce-Indell
Indell ran for 964 yards and 11 TD’s as a sophomore and shows big potential going forward. Strong build and frame overall. He is patient for blocks to develop then accelerates well once he sees an open lane. He’s a downhill runner with solid physicality and can bruise up and wear down a defense and frequently shakes off tacklers. He does a great job reading and cutting off his blocks. Very physical kid on both sides of the ball overall and plays mean.
[player_tooltip player_id="28881" first="Price" last="Pothier"], 5’7" 170lbs, Newberg HS
Film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11021342/Price-Pothier
Pothier ran for 1,176 and 19 TD’s, stepping up big as a sophomore last season for Newberg. He displays an excellent initial burst and hits the hole with a purpose. Don’t let his size fool you, the kid runs hard with a low pad level at the point of contact. He shows solid lateral mobility to cut or change direction on dime, and did a tremendous job at making opponents miss at the LOS. He is elusive in tight spaces and is often one step away from a big run. Reminds me of Phillip Lindsay in his burst and flexibility.
[player_tooltip player_id="28882" first="Gabe" last="Olvera"], 5’10" 180lbs, Lake Oswego HS
Film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11321454/Gabe-Olvera
Olvera is a highly talented back that is only scratching the surface of his potential. He accelerates well once he sees an open lane, and also flashes the ability to bounce runs laterally if the hole is plugged up. His balance is extremely impressive, as he had numerous runs bouncing off tackles to stay on his feet, and showed good field awareness to tight rope down the sideline for huge runs. He can be shifty in space and is a definite big play threat. Flashed the ability to catch the ball and be effective in the pass game as well.
[player_tooltip player_id="108144" first="Caleb" last="Kim"], 5’10" 185lbs, Sunset HS
Film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/6243511/Caleb-Kim
Kim brings a solid low pad level at the point of contact with good physicality across the board. He displays an excellent change of direction, frequently cutting on a dime to make opponents hesitate. He’s explosive out of cuts to give him a nice burst upfield and can weave his way though open space. He’s shown the ability to run routes and catch the ball out of the backfield, and is developing nicely.
