Today we are breaking down the film from the Hog Mollies that occupy the top five spots in our Class of 2022 offensive linemen rankings. We will take a look at the five spots from 5 to 1 and see who is making a steady climb in the right direction, who’s in the most vulnerable spot, and of course, we’ll breakdown the film of each prospect to lock in on what their strengths are, etc.!
5) [player_tooltip player_id="56465" first="Jace" last="Sifore"], OL/DL, Howard
When watching Sifore on tape, he certainly looks like a man amongst boys in the 9-man game. Sifore has sound measurables at 6’4 270 that can produce a very nasty punch to the other guys on the defensive line. Sifore is a prospect that is not afraid to drive a man upfield against his own will. Also, a strong competitor on the Tiger’s defensive line. Sifore most certainly might see a bump in his ranking on the next update, as he received his first Division I offer from South Dakota State this week.

4) [player_tooltip player_id="77457" first="Joseph" last="Cotton"], OL, Sioux Falls Roosevelt
Cotton has just a little more next-level size than Sifore (6’6, 300), putting him in the four in our top 5. I firmly believe with Cotton’s punch; he could do even more damage if he punched any harder. I am a big fan of Cotton’s versatility, as you’ll see on many sides of the Rough Riders offensive line. He currently holds one Divison II offer from Wayne State, in which I’m sure won’t be his last. I certainly think he’ll have a herd of Northern Sun offers by the time his senior season starts and quite possibly an FCS offer too.

3) [player_tooltip player_id="56528" first="Jordan" last="Larsen"], OL/DL, Harrisburg
Larsen wins me over in the three spot due to his engagement on the offensive line. Larsen can certainly pack a punch of his own, but some of the holes this kid open up for 2023 RB standout [player_tooltip player_id="56546" first="Gavin" last="Ross"] make him a huge asset. I also believe long term, that bond the Tigers have on the offensive line with such a young and up-and-coming tailback that the longevity there will keep Larsen high on this list for the upcoming years. The question is, can Harrisburg go back to back with another South Dakota Hog Molly of the Year in 2021? Larsen found his way onto our 2022 watchlist, so we will undoubtedly have to see if he can follow in the footsteps of South Dakota State commit [player_tooltip player_id="56248" first="Ethan" last="Headlee"]. I see Larsen with more high-level Division II offers coming in soon after getting his first offer from Northern State over the summer.

2) [player_tooltip player_id="56451" first="Perry" last="King"], OL, Brookings
King, in my opinion, is in one of the most challenging spots in this grouping, as the 5th spot thru the 3rd spot is inching into his place at 2. King has some of the quickest feet our scouts have seen in South Dakota from this class. He has a sharp punch and is not an offensive line prospect you want to go low on because you’ll quickly end up on your rear end. King also is the finisher-type blocker that will burn you like a tailback running downhill with all his momentum. King loses the rapport with [player_tooltip player_id="56238" first="Josh" last="Buri"] headed to South Dakota State, so it will be interesting to see what the Bobcat Backers of Brookings have in store at running back in 2021!

1) [player_tooltip player_id="56450" first="Nick" last="Bunkers"], OL, Sioux Falls Roosevelt
In my several years of scouting centers, it’s been hard to find a more mobile presence at center than [player_tooltip player_id="56450" first="Nick" last="Bunkers"] of Sioux Falls Roosevelt at the #1 spot. Bunkers is another prospect on this that is the finisher-type blocker that has only gotten stronger as I’ve watched his tape. He’s also grown into a more muscular frame from 245 to 260 but has kept the fast foot speed he had when we sent out our first rankings for the Class of 2022. I believe Bunkers is set for his first offer very soon, as there has been a little sleeping going on in the first three months of the year on this kid!
